Arrival Story:
I adopted Sebastian from a friend of mine from work. He was born in a barn on my friend's farm. I told my friend that I wanted a long haired kitten. He was the only long haired kitten in that litter. I didnt even go look at him or his siblings. The first time I saw him he was a 6 week old ball of fluff in a paper box in my friend's car. It was love at first site.
Bio:
When Sebastian was 8 weeks old, he broke his leg when he was sitting in the window. He'd stood up and was pressing against the screen in a long kitten stretch and the storm window came crashing down on him. His leg was stuck and he was screaming like I've never heard a kitten/cat scream before. I was sitting across the room at the time and saw it all happen. I was across the room in a flash and tried and tried to get that strom window to move. I couldn't get it to move and Sebastian finally just pulled his leg out. He went running for the hills. By the time I turned around he was gone and I couldn't find him anywhere. I looked and looked for an hour, bawling my eyes out, and finally gave up and decided he'd come out when he was ready. About a 1/2 hour later he came out and his leg was definitely broken. This happend on a Sunday afternoon, I called my vet, she told me to just keep Sebastian quiet and to bring him into the office right away on Monday. Sebastian was in a kitten cast for 6 weeks. He made a full recovery and you can't even tell that his leg was broken. He was a little booger while he had that cast on. Running and jumping and acting like nothing was wrong. I could always hear him coming down the hall because the cast made a thumping noise on the floor as he was walking.
