Arrival Story:
I had just lost my dog Sydney to some health problems, and my remaining cat was lonely. Not ready for another dog, I started looking for a cat at the local shelter. One day I spotted this beautiful little black cat with very soft and shiny fur. I am not impulsive so left her there but went back a couple times, hoping she was still there each time. She was in the sick cat room and had a kitty cold, but it wasn't bad. Otherwise she seemed to be in good health. I pulled her out of the cage on my last visit to hold her and she snuggled right up with a cascade of purrs and I fell in love, deciding that no way was I leaving her there any longer. Her shelter name was Annie and I left it that way even though she obviously didn't know that as her name. I thought it was a sweet name for a sweet kitty... until I got her home and she quickly took over the house, causing all sorts of headaches for my resident cat Micki. Annie wanted to play and play hard, but Micki would have none of it! Then Annie, who I had been told was at least a year old and done growing, grew and grew some more. She is now a big troublemaker but so charming I forgive her every time she gets into something. She seems sad the neither of her sisfurs will play with her but at least Guinness the dog will - they get along great.
