I've been tagged!

Hi Catster friends,
I was tagged by Piper and asked to tell 7 things about me, so here goes…

1. The toes on my front paws are white and each toe is separated with a small bit of black fur so you can clearly see each individual toe.

2. I love watching TV. Sometimes mom puts a special DVD on with lots of birds and squirrels (that’s my favorite) but I also like watch ice skaters and cars racing...

3. Mom says I snore.

4. I like to lay around the house upside down (with my belly up). Mom can’t resist giving me a belly rub when I’m in this position.

5. I’m a strictly indoor kitty, but I did break out once. There was a chipmunk outside and I just had to go after him so I pushed the screen right out of the patio door. Mom quickly chased after me and the chipmunk got away.

6. I don’t meow. I can if I want to, but usually have no need. If I want mom’s attention I will stare her down and if that doesn’t work I will tap her with my paw.

7. I have no claws at all. The family I had before I lived with my mom had all my claws removed but they did not have me spayed. Mom was annoyed about that. She had me spayed right away - good thing too because I went into heat the night before my surgery (the vet said that was ok).

Special day

Today is a very special day for me, it is the anniversary of the day I came to live in my furever home. Yep, that's right, I met my meowmy 8 years ago today. =^..^= I liked meowmy right away and knew I had a good home.
It has been a good day today, mom got out all the kitty toys I had lost under the sofa so I have been playing all day with toys I had forgotten about. I hope everykitty reading this is having a good day too!

Meowy Birthday to me!

It's my birthday today! I was born in 2000 (I'm a millennium cat!) so now I am 8 years old. Mom doesn't really know my exact birthday. I was around 8-10 months old when she got me, so I was born sometime in the spring. Mom’s a Taurus and she thinks I act like one too, so she picked May 2 as the day to celebrate my birthday. So meowy birthday to me!! For my birthday I hope my mom will get some new batteries for my favorite laser light toy - hint hint mom! I hope all you kitties out there have a purrfect day.

A New Bed!

Mom got me a giant new bed! Funny thing is that she seems to think it's for her and insists on sleeping in it with me. In the past, my usual tactic of sleeping right in the middle has been met with limited success (Mom can be such a bed hog!). However, this new bed is larger than the last one so I guess there will be room for Mom in there too. I may even let Zoe sleep there too - haha MOL!

Spring!

It's been a long winter here in Illinois, but I know spring will be here soon. I know because the birds are back. MEOW! I love watching the birds! We have the most delicious looking mourning doves outside lately. Sometimes I get so caught up in watching them and preparing to pounce that I completely forget that there is glass in the door. CRASH! Lucky bird. I totally would have had him.

Daylight Savings Time

A strange thing happened this week. Like most cats I like routine. I have trained Mom to stick to my schedule which she usually does without incident. But the last few days she has decided to get up an hour earlier than normal. On Monday she even complained about the lack of her usually dependable kitty wake up call. I have trained my underling Zoe to handle this task but the schedule change took her by surprise too.

Then Mom really caught me off guard by showing up at home an hour earlier than normal. I usually keep watch for her and let her know I missed her by greeting her at the door. But Monday I was not expecting her and I barely had time to finish my afternoon nap! I could hardly contain my yawns as I met her at the door.

Mom seems intent to keep this new schedule saying something about springing ahead. I'll allow it since it means getting my meals earlier too.
