Whimsy loooves sleeping on windowsills in the sun, or on anything that smells like me (a sweatshirt lying around... my pillow!) She also loves catnip- and rolls in it- she's happiest when she gets simultaneous belly & back rubs.
Pet-Peeves:
Any other cats. She's a one-girl act, and has (now in her old age) no tolerance for Chewie or Milo, and they are okay with that. She's not comfortable being held as much as she enjoys coming to you when she wants to cuddle.
Favorite Toy:
String is her thing. She doesn't like cattoys, just STRING- she goes nuts for it. It's the only time she is playful!!

On our bed, preferrably on my pillow. Always.

Whimsy is one crafty cat- she knows how to look at you just right and meow lovingly to get you to drop everything and give her affection & attention!

Arrival Story:
I wanted to find a friend for Chewie when after a year transition into being an indoors-only kitty, he seemed a little lonesome. One day in 2003 I decided i just had to find him a friend- and intended on getting a little female kitten- something that might be playful that he'd accept. When I saw Whimsy though- an older cat that had been waiting for adoption for over 2 months, she meowed and ran to her little cage door, throwing herself against it so I could pet her! She "talked" -meowing constantly through her purrs- and wouldn't stop looking at me as I scanned for other kitties that I thought Chewie would get along best with. When I couldn't find a female kitten, I knew I had to take Whimsy- I think I would've adopted her no matter what- she was simply meant to be our new kitty.
Bio:
I love that Whimsy is a "Torbie"- a cross bewteen a tortoise-shell and a tabby!
