My sisfur Minky II and I had a lovely 12th Birthday yesterday! The weather was perfect so we lounged about in the garden in ther morning and then Mum gave us each a new catnip toy! Mine is a mousie and Minky's is a little teddy bear!

We didn't have a birthday tea in our honour 'cos neither of us are too keen on anything other than our dry and wet cat food. I think our brofurs and sisfurs were disappointed but we'd rather have a new toy each!!

Thankyou to our furriends in Pawsitive Pawsee for the Birthday wishes and to Humphrey and Roger for our beautiful chocolate strawberry cake and also for the delish shrimpies for us both - we've never had those before and loved them!!

I really love my meowmy!

Sorry I haven't updated my diary for a while - it's meowmy's fault - she always seems to be busy these days!

A very belated thankyou to all kitties who sent me get well wishes when I was ill in August and I'm sorry I didn't let you know how I was going on!

After 2 courses of antibiotics and 3 long-lasting injections I finally started to pick up (after 4 weeks) and started eating more instead of just having an odd kibble and drink and started to play instead of just lolling about everywhere. I went for my final check up at the vets and was very pleased that my chest was now clear and my temperature back to normal. My lovely vet said he didn't think I needed blood tests now that the swelling in my lymph nodes had gone - oh boy, was I relieved.

Because I felt so poorly for 4 weeks my meowmy didn't try to brush or comb me and let me rest. I have the kind of fur that knots up if I just roll over and my coat got into a real mess! It's taken meowmy 4 weeks to get my fur looking good again - endless teasing and brushing and she even had to cut some lumps of fur out rather than hurt me by tugging at them. Luckily my bald patches don't show up much and are covered by my long fur! The worst part was the big knots under my armpits (ouch) but they are finally out and it feels so much better!

From Tigger's meowmy: Even after all the pills, injection, trips to the vet, coaxing hin to eat and drink and continually trying to get his knots out, Tigger remained the gentle, loving boy he is. He never bears grudges and is always ready for a stroke and a cuddle. At one point I thought I was going to lose him he was so poorly and I could sense the vet was very concerned. It was such a nasty relentless virus/infection and seemed to take such a long time for Tigger to show any signs of improvement. He is still light in weight and hasn't put enough weight back on yet - but he's getting there!

Whoopee! I'm a daily diary pick!

I'd like to thank all my friends for my concatulations and also for my Get Well wishes. They have really brightened my day! I'm not feeling too well at the moment. I'm on my 2nd course of antibiotics and my worried meowmy is hoping they will soon kick in and I'll feel better. I hope so too 'cos if I don't start eating more and liven up by Monday meowmy's taking me back to the vets for blood tests.

Meowmy would like to thank all my friends for my febreeze collars and the get well wishes and lovely pictures with them. They have brought much joy!

Also, my sisfurs and brofurs have all received lots of febreeze collars with lovely messages and pictures and meowmy is sorry she can't reply to you all personally just yet, but she's going to try over the next week or so.

Thankyou ALL - We love you.

Tigger seemed much better last Saturday (2 days after he's been to the vets) but on Monday he went quiet again and I could tell he didn't feel at all well. Last night he started coughing - it just sounded like he was trying to dislodge a furball - and went on all through the night. I took him back to the vets this morning and, after another thorough examination, he was found to have a very sore throat and his lymph glands were swollen, although his temperature was only slightly above normal. He had another antibiotic injection and has to take a course of antibiotics (Baytril) for seven days. Our vet Terry says if he doesn't recover completely within three days he has to go back for blood tests. I'm really worried about him and hope he soon gets better. (They say cats lower your blood pressure and are good for your health)!

Please send your purrs for him not to have to go back to the vets.

I've been to the V E T S today!

Today mummy took me to the vets. She realised this morning that I was not at all well. I didn't want to play out and just lay on the window ledge in front of the open window. She called me for my breakfast and I didn't want to move. Mummy then remembered I'd been in yesterday all day and just laid on the bed in the back bedroom and she thought it was because of the heat. It's been really warm and humid for the past few days. She was really worried then and felt awful 'cos she should have taken me yesterday, so she flew to get the cat carrier and rang her vet to say she was bringing me to see him. Luckily he did have a spare appointment, so off we set. I didn't mind it when she put me in the carrier, but I do not like it in the big noisy contraption she calls a car! I miaowed all the way there (20 minutes) and didn't stop until we got to the vets. My miaow is not a little squeaky thing like my brofur Albie's but is more like a blood curdling scream! The more she tried to assure me the more I shouted and she was worried I'd have a sore throat when we got there. I had a really thorough medical and was a little dehydrated 'cos I had a very high temperature. Terry, my lovely vet (he calls me sweet pea!) thought I had a respiratory infection although I've not been sneezing, no runny eyes - nothing. He gave me an antibiotic injection and another one to bring my temperature down. If I'm no better in two days I have to have blood tests. My mum's so worried about me and hopes I'm soon feeling better. When I got back from the vets she put me in the back bedroom again and put the fan on. I don't usually like the noise it makes but it felt so nice I didn't bother. Please purr for me that I don't have to go back to the vets again for blood tests.
