October 2nd 1989

She loved her feline friends, especially Snowy and Blackie.

She didn't have any.

Favorite Toy:
Her fluffy mice.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In her bed by the radiator.

Favorite Food:
Fresh chicken and fish.

She would round up all the toy mice and carry them around in her mouth as if they were her kittens. At night she would take at least 3 to bed with her and would talk to them and chirrup as mother cats do to their kittens.

indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
Pippa was living outside in a mobile home park and the residents wanted her to go away. She was trapped and came to me and was very thin and dirty. At her health check the vet said she was 12 - 14 years old and had had cat flu in the past, which had left her a bit wheezy. She was very frightened and froze in her cat bed and wouldn't eat for 3 days. She gradually improved and started to play out in the garden, always returning to her pen at night. She followed the other cats around and obviously loved feline company. One day she followed one of my cats through the cat flap and then never left the house for weeks. She then started venturing out again, but only when the sun was shining. I had her for almost six happy years, then one night when I went to bed I found her dead in her bed. It was such a shock for me but she looked so peaceful and had just slipped away in her sleep. The afternoon before she died she had enjoyed some fresh chicken and played out with her friends. I miss her terribly - it's just 5 weeks since she died.

My 21st ?? Birthday Thankyous!!

Because I was a stray kittie who lived with Mum for the last 6 years of my life, my birthday and age is a guesstimate!! When mum rescued me the vet thought I was about 15 years of age - so it could really have been my 21st birthday yesterday!! Us kitties really don't know!

I had a fantastic party at the Bridge with my angel family and wonderful friends and enjoyed the food and games so much!! I looked down on Mum and saw her looking lovingly at my photo and lighting a pretty candle for me. It was a violet candle because she remembers me sitting by the violets in our garden and thinking how pretty I looked!

Thankyou to my dear friends for all the gifts and lovely messages:-

Pink cupcake - from Wanda, Norman & family.
Heart (and card with lovely slideshow and cake) - from Humphrey, Roger & Greta.
Pink rosette - from Orkney, Arrow, Tara, Zephyr & Bunty.
Shrimp - from Casey.
Bat - from Adam, Eve, Puddin, Puff & family.
Pink rosette - from Alexander, Ra, Utu & family.
Candy corn - from Dusty Miller.

I received some lovely ginger kitties with pink bows. They remind me of dear angel Queen Tallulah and all her fantastic work for both animals and people with breast cancer.
They were from:-

Osiris (we share the same birthday - isn't that cool!)
Jaffa, Lulu & Rustle
Ciao-Li, Jean Louise Weezer & family

Thankyou all again! I love my friends so much!
