Orange Tabby

Besides just attention in general, I love feet and shoes! I love to rub all over anyone's legs and then I'll start headbutting and cheekrubbing their feet. I also love icecubes!

When Momma lets the dogs inside and they are hyper or get more attention than me. Also, anyone sitting in MY chair.

Favorite Toy:
I love little stuffed animals with catnip in them! I go crazy for them. My favorite is my stuffed Thing 1 (from Dr. Seuss).

Favorite Nap Spot:
I like to nap in MY chair in the living room, on the rug, or on the windowsills.closet in the office that I claimed.

Favorite Food:
Tuna! And another one of my favorite treats is a little bit of lunch meat (especially ham and salami) or cheese.

I can say "hello" and "Momma".

Arrival Story:
Dad's ex-wife wanted a cat, and one day they found an ad in the paper for a cat. So they went and got me. I was six months old at the time, and originally my name was Max but they renamed me to Tiger. Dad and my old mom divorced, and I stayed with Dad. When Dad started dating this nice girl, I claimed her as my Momma and we've been a happy family ever since.

My new Momma is obsessed with Dogster and Catster and already had her whole family of furkids on here. She told Dad that he should make me a page, and he told her that she should make me one. Momma figured that would be for the best anyway, since Dad probably wouldn't keep up with my page the way Momma would. And Dad said she might as well just add me to her family on here, so that's what we did.

My Birthday is May 1st, 2000.

When Dad and his ex-wife first adopted me, my name was Max. Since I was an orange tabby like Dad's old cat, they named me Tiger after him.

I'm an older guy now, so I may not seem as playful as younger cats. Sometimes I get in a silly mood though and like to play with little stuffed animals, especially if they have catnip in them! Mostly I just like getting affection from Dad and Momma. I love scritches and rubbing myself all over their legs and feet.

My Dad and I have been together for quite awhile, so we're really close. He says that we agree on nearly everything - just not where it's ok for me to shed. I haven't known my Momma as long, but I bonded to her pretty quickly. I didn't really appreciate her bringing all her other dogs and cats to the house to live with us at first, but I tolerate them alright now.

I had been eating Meow Mix pretty much all my life. Dad knows it's not the best food for me, but it's cheap and convenient. Momma convinced Dad to let her switch me to a better food though, so now I eat grain-free kibble and canned. Momma rotates us through several brands such as Innova Evo, Wellness Core, and Nature's Variety Instinct.

Thoughts on Food

-I liked the good quality kibble Momma switched me to after she and Dad started dating. I thought it was much better than the Meow Mix that Dad used to buy me.

-I really liked the EVO canned food that Mommy switched us to a few weeks ago. It's great, and I don't miss eating kibble at all.

But if I'm really hungry... and there's some tuna juice in it... it will have to do.

I Should Probably Update This

The last time I posted in my Diary was on my birthday. Well, I'm still the old man around here, but you couldn't tell these days. I may have been against Momma moving in with all of her animals at first, but now I like having the company (well, some of the company, it might be better if there were just a few siblings for me to play with instead of a ton of them). I think Kittie has a crush on me because she follows me everywhere, Cirrus will play with me occasionally or we'll just snooze on the couch together, and Stitch always wants to play with me.

As for the dogs.. well that's another story. One of my last Diary entries was about my relief that the huge dog, Jack, was going back to stay with Momma's ex-husband. Well, I nearly had a heart attack one day in July when Momma came home with.. you guessed it... Jack! Luckily it was a short-lived visit - turns out that Momma's ex had lost Jack for several weeks, and it was Momma's dedication to searching for him that found the big slobber-monster. So Jack went back to Momma's ex, and I thought things were safe and stable.

But wouldn't you know it, a little later that month, Momma started taking care of a stray dog that showed up outside. I don't know what her problem is, I mean, she could have just left him out there. We do have doors with locks on the house to make sure things we don't want can't come in. But that's Momma, always having a big heart that can't say no to puppy dog eyes. Ugh. So sure enough, she AND Dad (I know, the traitor) fell in love with this stray and took him in. So now we have FIVE dogs, AGAIN. And this one isn't quite as big as Jack, but especially since he's gained weight and grown even more, he's pretty darn big. At least he doesn't drool as much.

I guess having a big family isn't too bad, but a grumpy old cat like me can only take so much... so if Momma brings in one more animal, well, I'm outta here!

Old Man

Today is my birthday! Dad and Momma gave me lots of scritches and attention this morning when they woke up. Dad says I'm an old man like him. Momma also brought home a new scratchpad for us cats. She says it's my birthday present but that I still have to share it with my siblings occasionally, which isn't too bad. :)
