when he first came to live with us sometimes we couldn't find him and we said that he had gone through the portal to another dimension because he would suddenly just reappear. turned out he had crawled behind the sink/cabinets in a bathroom and was sleeping on the towels or in the drawer. then later we could not find him for a day. we looked everywhere in the house and then expanded the search to the neighborhood and posting signs. turns out he had slipped into the bookcase when it had been opened the previous day and when the doors were closed he was still in there. the next day we finally heard just a little meow and found him. when the doors were opened he just walked out like nothing had happened.
