Thankyou to my dear friends for their best wishes and concern after my eye operation and I'm so sorry it's taken so long to give you an update.
I had my stitches out just over a month ago - what a relief, I felt much more comfortable. My vet said mum had to continue with the eye drops twice a day for a month and then go back for a checkup. Mum took me yesterday and Terry, our lovely vet, was very pleased with my eye and said I didn't need the eye drops any more. He said I had a tiny bit of scar tissue in my eye but felt sure this would gradually disperse on its own and I wouldn't need another operation to remove the scar tissue, which he thought I probably would have done earlier.
He was so pleased how well the implant had taken and said he'd never removed a mass so large from a cat's eye before. I now have about 60% vision in one eye but the other eye is fine.
Terry said it was all thanks to my mum for being so observant and persevering with the eye drops for many months or I would definitely have lost my eye, but mum said it was really down to me for being so co-operative and such a good girl for letting her put the drops in. If it had been one of my ex-feral sisfurs she said she wouldn't have stood a chance putting eye drops in them.
Thankyou again to all my friends.
Happy purrs

Terry, my vet, called mum last night with the results of my biopsy. It's Good News, I don't have cancer and will keep my eye. The biopsy showed a benign stromal tumour sequestration. (Mum's never heard of it before)!
Mum was 'over the moon' and gave me a big kiss and cuddle. I told her I'd rather have this damn collar off. I have to go into the hospital on Monday to have my stitches out but I'll still have to have my eye drops in for a while.
More Good News - my sisfur Blackie is no longer frightened of my collar and she's started cuddling with me again. I'm so pleased 'cos I was feeling so lonely on my own.
A big thankyou to my friends for all the good wishes and purrs. I know they helped me to feel better.
Love Snowy

Snowy went for her after-op check-up yesterday. Terry was quite pleased with her eye but changed her eye drops to help the healing. The biopsy results will be back on Friday - fingers and paws crossed!!
She has to go back on Monday to have the stitches out.
Blackie is still very wary of her collar - she has started sleeping near her but not cuddled up as usual. Rosie is very curious and constantly stares at her collar as if she's trying to sort out just what it is! MOL.
Thankyou to all our dear furriends for their purrs, lovely comments, pawmails and gifts, both before and after her operation.
Before her op:-
Gunnar T, Miss Muppet, Peekaboo & family for the paw charm.

After her op:-
Lil' Muppet for the pink cupcake.

Queen Tallulah, Zena, Mia, Milo & family for the paw charm.

I sincerely apologise if I have missed anyone - I will have seen it in my e-mails but some of the gifts aren't showing up on the homepage and mum is finding is more difficult to keep up with them and our friends activities.
Love & grateful purrs from Snowy
