Thankyou to all my friends who made my Birthday such a special day!
I opted for chicken for my birthday supper and it was just scrummy. Then mum gave me a kiss on the top of my head and do you know what I did? I smacked her!! I only like affection when I ask for it and wish she'd get it into her head!!!! She should know by now after all these years! MOL. It was alright though she just laughed and said "You're one on your own Queenie, it's a good job I love you"!!
Thankyou Titch, Mr D and Hazel Lucy for my Birrhday wishes.
Sorry Titch (he's my nephew) I didn't save you any chicken 'cos I ate it all!! MOL!
I got loads of gifties from my wonderful furiends:-

I just couldn't believe it!! After all my Birthday fun, I'm a DDP Today.
I didn't know until I saw my concats and lovely Crown from my dear friend lil' Muppet. Thankyou so much sweetheart! We're all purring that the needles help with your pain.
Tate, Tonka & their lovely family also concatulated me on my DDP with my birthday cupcake!
P.S. Mum says if the diary girl reads how I smacked her, I won't get chosen again. I don't agree with her - I bet she was purroud of me!!

I'm 13 years old today - maybe older as I was a pregnant stray cat when mum rescued me - and I don't know!!! I just know that when mum adopted me as one of her own it was the best day in my life! I don't show affection much but ocasionally I'll jump up onto her lap and give her a head butt and my loudest purr.
I just love my food and treats so Birthdays in our house are really the bestest days ever for me. It's good that we're a big family 'cos that means we all get treats on birthdays.
I just don't know what to have - perhaps chicken as I had tuna the last time we had a birthday in the house! Decisions, decisions!!!
I'v been taking my medication for hyper-thyroidism for about 10 weeks now and am doing really well. When I had my last visual check-up my vet was so pleased with me. My heart rate has slowed down and is almost normal now, I've put a little weight on and my coat is shiny again. Next month I'll need blood tests to check things more accurately.
Terry (our lovely vet) asked Mum if I was still being greedy and wanting food all the time. The answer was "Yes". Why change the habits of a lifetime, I say!

I took Queenie to our Vets on Tuesday because I felt something just wasn't right, although it's not long since she had a check up.
She's been losing weight, although she eats a humungous amount and is always wanting more.
She had a blood test whilst we were there. Bless her, she was so good and sat very still while her neck was shaved and the blood was taken.
Terry, our Vet, phoned us with a diagnosis on Wednesday and said her kidneys and liver were functioning well but she had an overactive thyroid gland and was producing too much thyroxin. She's been prescribed 5mg felimazole tables (1 per day) and will have to take them for the rest of her life. Luckily, she's so easy to give tablets to - I just give her 2 small bits of wafer-thin ham and then wrap the tablet inside the 3rd piece and she just gobbles it up straightaway! Then I give her another piece after her tablet.
Although I've had cats for many years I've never had one with this complaint and would appreciate any advise anyone can give me.
Thankyou so much

I've been tagged by one of my besties (and fellow food worshippers) Humphrey to play the game with him.
I have to list 7 things about myself. Here I go:-
1. I was abused when I was a stray before my meowmy rescued me and I still don't like to be touched but I love to just lay quietly on her lap and I just purr and purr.
2. I just love my food and get really excited when I hear meowmy get our dishes out and do a little dance and then headbutt her legs.
3. When we get any new beds or blankies I'm always the first in our family to investigate and test them out.
4. I'm always very good when I go to the vets for my annual check-up but it's because I'm so scared I just freeze. It worries meowmy but as soon as I get home I just forget about it straight away (after my treat that is!).
5. I still keep in touch with my kittens and they're 11 years old now. They all went to loving homes ( in two pairs). They are called Sooty and Sweep, Magic and Merlin.
6. I just love my Uncle Graham (Titch and Bruce's dad). I know the sound of his car and get really excited when I hear it because I know him and Auntie Louise are coming for a meal and he always gives me some of his meat or chicken! I even let him stroke me on the top of my head - just a little though!
7. I used to play in our garden every day whatever the weather was like but now I'm getting older I'd rather stay inside. Well, I might just miss out on any food that's going - that's really why!
I'm going to have a little think now about which of my friends I'm going to tag.

I've been tagged by my good friend Odin and I'm sooo pleased because it means mummy has started me a diary at last! I thought I was never going to get one and would have to sack her and get another typist.
Well, here goes:-
Name four jobs that you've had:
1. I was resident mouse catcher and cleaner of garbage bins (specially with chicken in them) on a caravan park!
2. I was a very good mummy to my 4 kittens.
3. I told my new meowmy when it was feeding time.
4. I was tester of new cat beds and blankets.
Four places you have lived:
1. With my fur mummy but can't remember where.
2. As a stray on a caravan park.
3. In my meowmy's rescue cat house in the garden.
4. Where I am now in my forever home.
Four places you have been:
1. To the vets - didn't like it and bit the vet and drew blood.
2. In my mummy's neighbour's kitchen - to see if there was any food on offer!
3. In my mummy's neighbour's garden - same reason as above.
4. Shut in mummy's larder all night - she didn't know I was in.
Four places you'd rather be:
1. In a big restaurant with loads of chicken, tuna, fish, turkey - in fact anything.
2. By mummy's plate when she's having a meal.
3. In the fridge where all the food is kept.
4. In fact anywhere there's food.
As you can see I just love my food. After being a stray for a few years and having to forage for food, I still have to make sure that I always have food and do not want to go hungry again. My mummy thinks I should be over it by now and not so obsessed with food but I can't help it. Do you know I once dragged a cooked chicken, that was cooling on top of the oven, onto the floor and ate most of it. Mummy went mad because I could have choked on all the bones but she doesn't know that when I was a stray I was very good at stripping chickens!
I now tag four of my friends to play the game:
1. Shmitty, Moo Moo & Shmatt - my friends who look like my sister Snowy.
No. 528001
2. Ellie - a pretty little girl from Cornwall.
No. 141243
3. Lulu - almost a neighbour of ours!
No. 744978
4. Orkney - my Australian good friend.
No. 635172
I will now send my friends a p-mail to tell them they're tagged!
Bye for now.
