 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Black

Likes: being brushed, trilling, playing with kitty teasers, sleeping in the closet, looking out the window, scratching my furniture

Pet-Peeves: taking medications...and he REALLY hated fasting the night before his dental work

Favorite Toy: "Kitty teasers" of all kinds

Favorite Nap Spot: under the bedcovers, on my lap, on the back of living room chair---and in the bedroom closet

Favorite Food: He likes the Iams Indoor Cat formula I had for Lucie, although he wouldn't touch Fancy Feast.

Skills: trilling cutely, waking me up by getting close to my face and staring at me; now he is trying to pull the bedcovers off me with his little claws!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: After Lucie crossed the Bridge, I vowed my next cat would come from the Humane Society where I volunteer. Last week I met a handsome black cat in the "sickroom" where the cats with respiratory infections were being isolated. Didn't find any other adoptable possibilities so waited until I went back to volunteer this week (1/10/08). The little fellow had just been released from the infirmary this morning and was back in his cage, where he had languished since October. I took him out for a visit and he won me over when he jumped into my lap and began to purr. He looks very much like my Gremlin, and has a tiny little meow like Lucie, so it appears to me that my kitty angels took a hand in helping me select my new companion!

I know this is my first diary entry and all, and I should really be a grateful kitty that I'm living with Mommie and being spoiled instead of being stuck in that smelly little cage at the shelter, but I just have to grouse a bit here.
This morning I didn't jump in bed and wake Mommie up at 5 a.m. like I usually do (and she usually grouses about that, herself!), so what does she do? Comes in here into the living room to LOOK for me! I was there at the balcony door trying to point out to her what I was looking at! I meowed and trilled and begged to be let out, and what did that silly broad do? She turned on the PORCH LIGHT! So of course they disappeared. She told me what a silly kitty I was...then she started worrying that maybe Lucie's ghost had come to visit....I meowed again to tell her NO, NO, NO, it's nothing paranormal--but it's REALLY EXCITING and she should let me out! But she didn't. She went into the kitchen and made breakfast. It was a few hours later when she was sitting in the big chair next to the balcony and talking to Grandma on the phone when she FINALLY SAW THEM! Not one, but TWO MOUSIES! They were scampering around on the porch and eating the bird food that had fallen on the deck! But then she wouldn't let me outside! I'd take care of those mice for her, but she's so afraid I would jump off the balcony and run away....geez....what a dumb Mommie....I sure hope they come back out this evening. Of course now she has her CAMERA ready...so of course they will lay low. Pout pout.
