Arrival Story:
Payne arrived as a stray on my front porch 7 years ago. I politely explained that although he was a very nice cat, I already had 3 at that time and couldn't afford to needle and neuter him and that he would have to find another family. After several months of trying to find his original family or a new one, he was hit by a car. I rushed him to my vet. Payne had a broken jaw which we had fixed, then he got "fixed" too. He got all his needles and came home with me. He is a really nice cat and an important part of our family. I'm glad that he didn't take me seriously when I told him to go find someone else to live with!
