She loves to sleep. She spends about 85% of the day lying around, amd sleeping in strange spots.

When Dylan jumps on her when she is trying to eat or sleep, and when we have people over.

Favorite Toy:
Anything with Catnip, the laser pointer intrigued by it but doesn't know what to do with it.

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the bed, on the cat bed in the closet, on my boyfriends clothes, and on the window seat.

Favorite Food:
She doesn't have a preferance. She will eat anything but wet food, for some reason she hates wet food.

Finding spots to hide, I have found her in some of the weirdest places

Arrival Story:
I was moving out of my parents house into an apartment with myboyfreind and I wanted two cats, I have always had cats andcould not live without having a least a couple. My parents refused to let me take Homer, and since I could not let him outside where I was moving to it was for the best. After we had lived there for a couple days I couldn't take not having a cat and we went to the local animal shelter, where I was working at the time, to pick up two cats. Originally I was going to get MacBeth and Jasmine, but my boyfriend decided he wanted to pick the female cat and she would be his. Jasmine was going to have to wait. I took him into the back cat rooms so he could look at those cats and then left him in the front cats rooms to look; I went to talk to the head of the cat department and collect MacBeth. When I came back to him he was patting this beautiful calico tiger cat hiding in a cat codo shaped like a house. We tried for about ten minutes to get her out, but we couldn't and ended up having to get some help from one of the girls that worked in cats. It took three of us to rip her out of the cats house, it must have been very tramatic.

She is an extreamly timid cat. She is very weary about being touched and sometimes the littlest movement or noise will send her running into the bedroom to hide. It took me over a month to get her to feel comfortable with me being in the same room as her. For the longest time she hid in the bedroom whenever we were home, you would only see her if she was eating or useing the litter box. Even though she was so scared she loved to get affection and would prance around on the bed when she was being patted, you could only show her love when she was on the bed any where else she would run from you. She feels the most comfortable being around the other cats. I call her a little pimp because MacBeth and Dylan love her. I consatley find the three of them on the bed, MacBeth on one side of her Dylan on the other and they are both grooming her, or she is curled up with one of them on the bed or the window seat.

It has been so nice outside lately, mom has been opening all the windows. I love the fresh air. I get to sit at the window and hear the birds outside, and watch the squirles climb up the trees. And no one bothers me, not even Dylan- he is to preocupied by what is going on outside as well. It is so nice. I still haven't decided about the new guy living here. He isn't bad, but I definitely don't trust him yet. I have somewhat decided to give in to Dylan's antics. If he wants to play then fine, but I get to do the chasing, not him. If he jumps on me, I just start chasing him. It is alot of fun. It's another nice day; I think I'll go find an open window to sit at.

It's getting better all the time.

Mom has been so proud of me lately. I have actually been coming around when there are people here, and I have been alot more trusting. I still don't like it when she picks me up, but that is it. Mom's mom comes over all the time; I let her pat me and I even come out to say hi everytime she is here. She calls me buttercup though, Mom and I don't like that. My name is Sophia, why she doesn't get this I have no idea. I still wont let new people touch me right away. But everytime there is a commotion in the livingroom I have to check it out. Lately my favorite thing to do is solicit mom's attention. I like to sit outside the bathroom, everytime she goes in there I do this, and when she comes out I arch my back and prance around her untill she pats me. And if she walks away I follow her untill I have had enough. It seems like every weekend,or every other, there is someone new here. Last night Mom's brother was here. I guess he is moving in. I know that his stuff smells like the cats mom smells like on sundays. I wonder if I'll ever get to meet them. I really want to meet the cats that live outside. Everyday I watch them run around the neighborhood. Mom says I can't though, she thinks they might have diseases. Oh well, I'll just have to watch them from afar.

There is alot going on here today. There is a man in the bathroom installing something. But today, unlike all the other ones we are not locked in that room. Yesturday we never got locked in that room; it was nice. I got to lounge around in the sun all day. And when Dylan felt being a pain, I could hide from him. But today I can't go into my hiding spot. That man is in there. It must be all of his stuff in that room. I wish he would leave, I hate it when new people are here. And he is near the bedroom so I can't run in there to get away from him. I am trapped in the livingroom. But in here I can look out the window. I like doing that. I watch the birds and squirles, and sometimes there are kids playing outside, and there is tons of sun in that room. It is great. Usually I sit in the room the man is in and look out that window. But I can't today because he is in there. And it is saturday, which means the vacume is comming out at some point. I am not looking foreward to that.
