So Confused!

So, tonight, like just about every night, mommy was on the computer and I got on her lap and purred for her. Then I got off her lap when she wasn't giving me 100% of her attention. Then I came back and got up on the printer table and meowed at her: "I want on your lap!" So I got on her lap. Then I got off her lap. Then I came back and said: "Hey! I want on your lap!" She argued with me some but then let me on her lap. I purred a while and then, well, you know, I got off her lap. Well the fourth time, mommy said: "no, I'm tired of you getting on and off my lap. You decided to leave, it was your own fault." I meowed some more, to no avail. And then I got down from the printer table via the arm of her chair, making sure that I took my sweet time and brushed up against her arm on my way down just to let her know what she was missing, and then I went in to pout on the dining room chair.

Well about this time daddy decided to take his shower. It is one of my rituals that I assist daddy with his shower every night. As he goes into the bathroom I meow: "I want to come!" But I make sure I take my time and walk slowly into the bathroom because I don't want to seem too eager, you know. I make him stand there holding the door for a while. Then when we get in the bathroom I start yelling: "I want out! I want oooouuuut!" I usually wait to do this until he is in the shower. Then daddy flings open the door and says: "get the *bleep bleep* out then!" And I leave.

Well, as I said, tonight when daddy got ready to take his shower and called for me (he pretends to get mad at the shower routine so why does he call for me?) I was busy pouting on the dining room chair. Mommy said: "Oh no! You can't take a shower without Emily!" So mommy came and got me and took me to the door of the bathroom where daddy was standing waiting. But...but...I didn't know what to do! I looked at mommy and meowed: "But I want on your lap! I love you best!" Then I looked at daddy and meowed: "But I want in the bathroom too!" I kept looking back and forth from mommy to daddy and meowing. I just didn't know what to do! I was so confused! Mommy and daddy just laughed. Mommy went back into the office to the computer and I followed her ('cause I do love her best) and daddy had to take a shower without me. I think he was sad. I'll have to make it up to him.

purrrs,
Emily Felicity

P.S. Do you think I got to get back up on mommy's lap diary? hee hee!
