Mommy and daddy left for a while and they locked up Salem and Lucy in their room, with the screen door, while they were gone so that Lucy wouldn't eat my food that the sitter had to crush my pill in and so that Salem wouldn't pick on me. (I wasn't supposed to know about that pill in the food thing, but seriously, who do they think they are kidding?).
I didn't like them being gone and I pooped in a lot of places around the house to try to help them find their way back home. Seems to have worked. Those ingrates, Salem and Lucy, didn't thank me though.
But now that they are home and the beast (Salem) is loose again, it seems he has a bug up his butt and he has TWICE now attacked me when I was trying to rest peacefully on a kitchen chair. Mommy thinks maybe he is just feeling frisky because he is happy they are home and he is not locked up any more. I, purrsonally, think he is being a PAIN!
elderly, grumpy purrs,

Aww...sorry that you didn't like your parents being gone! Who wants a sitter anyways?! I like my mommy better than the sitter too! Mommies are the best!
Poor Edgar! I'm sorry you have to put up with such treatment.
How exactly do you get a bug up your butt if you're an indoor cat? That sounds like a cool trick to me!
Newman is the bug up my butt, Edgar, so I feel your pain!
Glad your pawrents are back dude that Salem cat needs to show some respect to his elders, MOL Newman is funny.
Sounds like he's being a pain to me - maybe he needs a little smacky paw?
Yeah, what Jez said! Smacky paw him and don't spare the smacky part!
