I'm spreading the word regarding some kitties in need. Tigger and Cali, two gorgeous kitties in Orlando, Fla. need a temporary foster home until their daddy can get back on his feet financially.
Please read my furriend, Nuk's diary for more details and links and whom to contact if you can help.
Regarding other matters... some kitty, daddy says it was probably me, (mommy wasn't home yet when it happened) threw up bile and grass in the kitchen. Large blades of shade grass; one piece was at least two inches long. Mommy has seen that before. But her concern this time was that the bile was pink. When she wiped it up and could see it on the paper towel it was clear it was blood.
We both ate our Fancy Feast treat though right after mommy came home, found the vomit and cleaned it up. I *blushes* threw up my FF treat last night right after I gobbled it down. But then I proceeded to eat Emily's (Emily got grossed out when I threw up I guess and she walked off and left hers) without any throwing up.
Mommy is not going to get alarmed and run us both to the vet or anything unless we start acting like we don't feel okay. And we are both acting normally.
just your basic purrrs,

Hope everything is okay Edgar! Mommy and Daddy will keep close tabs on you and Emily I am sure!
Hugz and purrs, Sassy
Sending purrs to Tigger and Cali.
I hope you are feeling okay, Edgar! Sounds to me like you are going to have a hovering mommy for a couple of days!
Thanks Edgar for helping to spread the word about Tigger & Cali
Now about your little problem... I would expect this little episode will have garnered you your very own "Hover Mommy & Daddy"
She'll be on the lookout for:
Anorexia, Diarrhea, Digested, dark black blood in the feces (melena), Fresh, red blood in the feces (hematochezia)
Possibly abdominal pain, Paleness or pallor of the gums, Rapid breathing, Ataxia (Weakness or collapse) and signs of bleeding at other sites in or on the body
Fresh blood is usually bright red. Old, partially digested blood is brown and has the appearance of coffee grounds.
Where that blood came from is still a mystery. Your Mom will be trying to distinguish between true hematemesis, which involves bleeding within the gastrointestinal tract, from secondary hematemesis, which involves the vomiting of swallowed blood.
Hope yesterday's yak and today's are grass blade induced and you're back to feeling yourself soon and can avoid a trip to the V-e-t.
Edgar, I throw up grass all the time. Mom calls me "Cow Kitty" because I devour grass like there's no tomorrow.
A few nights ago I threw up such a large piece of grass, that Mom decided no more going outside for me. I'm very unhappy about that, but she doesn't want me throwing up every night. I will purr that this is an isolated incident for you and that there is no more blood present in your puke. I sure wouldn't want to hear that you had to go to the vet. Your Mommy is very wise to not get alarmed about it yet.
We are also purring for Tigger and Cali to find a temporary home - Catster people are the best - we know someone will come through for them.
Dang, how did that Nuk get so smart? He is using a lot of big words. I hope you don't have a giant hairball like Joy did. She had to have surgery and now she smells funny and her siblings run from her. You might want to brush your toofies since you had a bloody flojectile. You might have bad breath . . . . . hallytoesis. See, I know big words too and I'm not even two years old yet.
Hope you both are feeling better and what a good kitty you are to spread the word about kitties in need.
Oh no Edgar! I hope you're feeling OK!
Wondering how you are doing, handsome man??? I lost a fang tooth right before Mom left for vaca and she was very worried. The vet said it was no big deal....and in fact, was probably good since it had been infected before. I hope your bloody puke was just a fluke....(Sad attempt at some humor!!)
Oh Edgar!!!Sorry you hurled, old boy, but sometimes grass does that to us....maybe the pink was just some irritation from your tummy or esophagus???
Tell you mom to keep an eye on it, will ya? (like she needs to be told)....hoping you feek butter! ; )
Bigs purrs to you and EF and your mom!
Your purring pal~
I hope the pink was just from the grass and nothing serious!
MOL!!!! Us old dudes are so nonchalant about throwing up blood! Yup yup yup... The usual purrs to you!
