Arrival Story:
Chestnut is the smallest kitten I have ever had, he arrived here at one pound, and sick with fleas causing anemia, ear mites, eye infections in both eyes, worms and goodness knows what else.

Some kind folks found a litter of kittens spread out around their area and started gathering them up and finding homes for them. They were at my local PetCo with Chestnut when I saw him and just HAD to give him a home. He was the last one they had, I never saw the others. My vet said feral females will scatter a litter to give them a better chance of survival, when her next litter is due. Chestnut is a good boy, and will comply when I ask him to "get down," but he mumbles, chatters and "gives back talk" the whole time. Quite funny! Chestnut left us for Rainbow Bridge, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He had some serious issues going on -- intestinal bloat, anemia (his gums were white), protruding spine, loss of all muscle, and all this happened in less than a week. Love you always, Baby Chestnu!
