Arrival Story:
We were sitting at a slow craft show that we were vending our pottery at. My husband went out to fetch lunch and came back with this kitty. The lunch place was next to the Humane Society -- they lured him in with a special on kittens...in which we took the mama...though she was barely a year old herself.
Bio:
Because Nu was the mama, it was too early to have her fixed and we had to return to the Humane Society to have it done. That is when we met and adopted Oog. They bonded immediately, although, oddly enough fixing her changed her status among the female cats. Pootis and Bugaboo, this sisterern, we call them...started to stalk and attack her...she has battle scars by her nose to show. We had to sequester her off to the bedroom for quite some time. We were beginning to think that we'd have to find Nu a new home, although it was breaking our hearts to do so. Last Spring 2004, when we got Bender home, things seemed to be different; Oog was no longer a kitten, the sisterern let up on Manu has started to come out of her closet. In fact, she doesn't let the sisterern's approaches bother her much, and she is now free to wander in and out as she pleases. She has claimed the studio and is overly affectionate making it hard to get anything done.
