 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 31st 1989
Likes: Being brushed, eating flies, being nuzzled on the tummy, having her ribs and armpits (legpits?) rubbed. She loves the smell of chlorine bleach--this could be a lethal danger, so I keep the bleach stored where she cannot get to it.

Pet-Peeves: Trying to eat while I'm in the room, because I'm usually sleepy when I feed her and that causes me to drop things, making loud and scary noises. She HATES to be kissed on the face!

Favorite Toy: Aluminum foil balls, peacock feathers, and wadded-up pages from magazines. The slick, shiny pages are the very best!.

Favorite Nap Spot: Lately, she's been napping on the lawn. When the weather is cold, though, she likes to sleep with me and she likes to sit on a sunny windowsill. In winter, she tickles my face with her whiskers and asks to get under the covers with me.

Favorite Food: Fish-flavored cat foods, fake crabmeat, and flies!

Skills: Even at almost 15 years of age, she can still leap to the top of a 6-foot fence in a single bound and can still catch rodents and birds. She comes to me when I whistle like one would whistle for a dog.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: My daughter's friends found Chelsea and her siblings in some bushes, and the mamma kitty was dead. My daughter, who was living with her grandma at the time, asked me if I'd keep her "just for a little while," until I could find her a home. My daughter couldn't keep Chelsea because her dachshund had tried to eat Chelsea! She was very small, about 5 1/2 weeks old. I didn't think she was very cute, but I took her in and the rest is history. Now I think she is very cute, and she is my best friend! She got off to a rough start in life, but she's had a wonderful, happy life since she came to live with me. I love my little one more every day--and she sure is little!

Bio: Chelsea never got big, although I've always provided her with all the food she will eat. She only weighs about 6 pounds, and at her heaviest she weighed only 7 pounds. I call her my miniature cat. She is such a good girl--she has NEVER gone potty anywhere she shouldn't! She was diagnosed with feline leukemia virus (FELV)11 years ago. I was devastated, thinking she didn't have much longer to live, but she never got sick! She had a big operation a recently. She had a mammary tumor. The vet thought it was probably cancer, since she has FELV, but the biopsy showed that it was not! She had lots of tests, and there was no sign of cancer anywhere in her tiny kitty body! Whew! What a relief! Chelsea loves to lick her mom's legs when mom gets out of the hot tub and smells like chlorine. She keeps herself very clean, except for her nose, which is always dirty.
SADLY, CHELSEA PASSED AWAY ON MAY 6, 2006, AT THE AGE OF 16 YEARS. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SADDER. I BURIED HER IN THE GARDEN WITH 16 RED ROSES TUCKED AROUND HER TINY BODY IN HER LITTLE BURIAL SHROUD, ONE FOR EACH YEAR OF HER LIFE. I PUT A STATUE OF ST. FRANCIS NEAR HER AND PLANTED A GERANIUM ON HER GRAVE SO THAT IT'S ROOTS WILL REACH DOWN INTO HER AND TURN HER INTO FLOWERS AND LEAVES.

On summer nights, I sometimes can be found sitting on the lawn beside one of mom's garden toads--both of us hunting insects that pop up from the grass! Yummy!
