Arrival Story:
Dixie decided she wanted to live with us in 1990 and just moved on in after wandering around in the neighborhood as a kitten. She has had many ups and downs but has been steadfast in her love and loyalty. She is a dignified senior and is the top cat in our house.

About two years of age, the vet I used then said that I had a bad heart and a heart murmur. He said I "might have two more years." Well! Hello, that was 17 years ago & I am still going strong. I take a little Lasix once a day. About 7 years ago, my new vet (I love him) where we moved to, said I had kidney failure. He put me on 2 kidney meds & at my annual checkup in 2007, he said the kidney function was reversed and now normal! I am just meowing along, a littl bit slower, but still a good bed feoolow for my Mama! Dixie passed over to the Rainbow Bridge at 7pm Jan. 15, 2011.
