We are playing a tag game. We need to answer 10 questions that tell a little bit about ourselves and then tag 6 of our friends to play too. So, here we go.

This is the "2009 Get to Know your Pals" Tag game.

1. What is the color of your collar?
I don't wear a collar as I only go out in our garden, and not very often now I'm getting older - I love my comfort too much! When I was much younger I had a green collar which I think suited me very well!

2. What kind of food do you eat?
I eat Hill Maintenance Senior Light, Purina Salmon & Rice and have wet food (Felix pouches) at night.

3. What are your favorite treats?
I like Greenies (which a furriend sends me from America) and tuna in spring water.

4. Do you have a Valentine or a significant other.
I have a very pretty girlfriend called Lego but I haven't heard from her for ages. I do hope she's alright.

5. Do you get table scraps?
I don’t really like people food and don’t beg for table scraps.

6. What is your favorite toy?
I like our laser mouse and the Habib catnip mice mum buys for us.

7. When is your birthday?
13 July 1997

8. How many times a day do you eat?
Our Hills food is down all the time and I keep having nibbles, then my wet food at night.

9. Do you have a favorite color?
I like emerald green.

10. Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary?
Yes!

I'm Back Home!!- UPDATED 05 November

Mum's so pleased to have me back home from the Hospital. I did have two teeth out and Terry, my lovely Vet, said I had a slight reaction from the anaesethetic and could stay overnight in the hospital if mum wanted me to. He agreed with mum though that she thought I'd be better recovering at home as I'm very frightened even when I just visit the vet for a health check.

When mum took me out of my carrier I was still a bit groggy and even now (after six hours) I don't want anything to eat but I've had a good drink from my water fountain.

I have a 7-day course of Antirobe antibiotics to take and have to go back on Friday for a check up - which mum is dreading! I just didn't want to go in my carrier this morning and clung to mum's shoulder and scratched her quite badly 'cos I was so frightened.

My friends have been just wonderful and I'm sure all the purring has helped me through this.

UPDATE 05 November

Alfie was not at all well last night and had his mouth half open as if it hurt him to close it. I stayed up with him until 3.00 a.m. as he was very restless and just wouldn't settle down and then we went to bed. He finally settled on my bed and slept pressed up against me for the rest of the night.

Thankfully, he's much better this morning and ate a teaspoon of Tuna Imperial (one of those expensive tiny tins) with his antibiotic in and he's drinking well. He's not keeping his mouth open quite as much now!

He's slept most of the day in a hooded cat bed in the spare room where it's quiet. If I feel he needs to go back to the vets tomorrow for a check-up I'll take him, but providing he eats tonight (with his antibiotic in) and he's a little brighter, I'll leave him be.

Alfie is so frightened when he goes to the vets that I feel I'll further traumatise him and if possible he's better at home, providing that I can make sure he has his medication.

I'm going into the hospital tomorrow!

Tomorrow morning I have to go into the hospital for a dental. I need to have 2 back teeth out which are not too good.

Mum's really worried about the anaesethetic due to my age but knows I need to have this done.

HOWLOWEEN FUN!!!!

Wow!! What fun I've had this Howloween!!

I got 12 Howloween cards through our Pen Paws group and also from some of my besties! They really cheered up what would have been a truly miserable month due to family problems. Most came in bright orange envelopes covered with loads of scary stickers - there were cute ones, furry scary ones, funny ones with riddles in and a gorgeous home-made one of Baci sittimg in a basket of treats with his witches hat on! He looked too cute to be scary! MOL. No-one sends Howloween cards here in England so they were extra special!

I also got 2 surprise packages in the post!!

One from my lovely friends Oliver and Dewey with a cute card, a big bag of candy corn and some socks for mum with black kitties and pumpkins on - she put them on straightaway and loves them! Every time I look at her she's stuffing her face with candy corn - soon she'll need a bigger catflap to get out of the house! MOL.

My other package was was from my good pal Dusty Miller - it had a funny card with riddles in, 2 packets of my favourite Greenies and loads of furry scary bugs and spiders. Rosie ran off with one and it's not been seen since!! She must have a secret cache somewhere - she's always running away with mousies and balls!!

Last night a few neighbours children came trick or treating - they looked so cute in their witches and ghosts costumes!! Mum pretended to be scared when she opened the door and screamed, which made them giggle!! The little witch said "don't be scared Jenny, it's me, Charlotte!! They got a treat of little chocolate bars shaped like frogs -mum wasn't going to give them any of her candy corn!! No way!

Thankyou all my furriends for their pawmails, gifts and rosies - my page looks awesome with all the pumpkins, candy corn, bats, ghosties, black kitties and dancing skeleton! I'll be upset when they all disappear!

Sad Purrs and Tears for Calvin

Heaven has gained a sweet angel today.

We will miss you so much Calvin. Your family was one of the first we got to know and love on Catster and your angel brofur Autumn made my brofurs Poppet and Vivaldi the most beautiful wings.

Although we'll miss you here on earth, we know this is not goodbye and look forward to hearing about your adventures at the Bridge when you have settled in.

Wowee!! A belated Birthday prezzie from my bestie Dusty- Miller!!

Mum called me this morning to tell me the postman had brought me a parcel! I was furry excited and went running into the room to mum.

We opened the parcel together and when I saw what was inside I just couldn't believe my eyes! There was a cat play cube (I've seen other kitties with those and always wanted one!), 6 refillable catnip canes, a catnip madcap mouse, 3 jingly balls, 2 packets of Greenies (yum yum) and a St Francis of Assisi pet medal to protect us if any of our kitties are sick. There was also a lovely Peter Rabbit birthday card!

It was from my bestie Dusty Miller who I met in our Pen Paws group. He's the bestest furriend any kitty could have.

Thankyou so furry much Dusty - I can't wait to play in my cat cube! Mum's going to set it up when she gets back from Grandma's tonight.

I just can't believe it!!! Happy News but tinged with- sadness.

When mum got back from her hols (in Liverpool) on Friday night she had a quick look at her e-mails and then Catster and then told me I'd been a DDP on 04 August (after having been a DDP on 01 August) and then on Friday 07 August I was DIARY OF THE DAY!! Wow! I don't know why the Diary Gal likes my diaries so much but I'm really glad and honoured that she does! Mum gave me a big kiss and a cuddle - it was a double whammy 'cos she'd been away for 5 days.

Although mum and I were so happy about my DDP and DOTD we were also very sad to learn that our dear furriends Tyler and Boots had gone to the Bridge whilst mum was away and didn't feel like writing in my diary straight away. They were both very special cats and will be deeply missed by their families and friends. We send lots of love and comforting hugs to their families. We will never forget them.

Mum had a wonderful holiday and did so much in the 5 days she was there. She said she really enjoyed herself but missed her babies. We all missed mum but uncle and auntie really spoiled us and we had lots of treats and cuddles. We missed auntie and uncle when they went back to Scotland but are pleased to have mum back.

Mum told us she's been on a ferry across the Mersey to New Brighton, she went in the famous Beatles Cavern, went in both the Anglican and Catholic cathedrals and said they were both beautiful (in different ways - one old and the other modern), went down to the Albert Docks, looked round some of the posh designer shops and had some lovely meals out with her friends. As a bonus - the weather was just perfect!

Well that's enough about mum and her holiday (her fiirst for 15 years)!
Now it's all about ME!

I was totally overwhelmed by all the lovely pawmails and messages from my groups and loved and apurreciated every single one. I just love Catster and have made the best furriends ever here.

I'll be away for a while!!

Mum's going away tomorrow (to her friends in Liverpool) and won't be back in action until Saturday 08 August! Mum's brother and sister-in-law (Auntie Rosemary & Uncle Peter) are coming down from Scotland to stay with us. Mum's busy today cleaning the house before she goes and making lists of our food, meds, vet numbers (hopefully won't be needed) etc. etc.

I'm a DDP Today - Thanks Diary Gal!!!

Whem mum turned on her puter this morning she had a pawmail from my furiend Hazel Lucy to tell me I'm a Daily Diary Pick!! Catzowey!!! (as Guido would say)!

I said to mum does that mean a tuna or chicken supper for us all tonight!! Mum said "No sorry Alfie sweetheart but you had one last night for Justin's birthday - do you think I'm made of money!!" Then she gave me a new catnip pirate sack so I'm furry happy - I just loves catnip. I didn't know she had been saving some of the catnip toys we got from Morgan when we got 2 beds from him.

It's my Brofur Justin's 3rd Birthday Today!!!

He's the next naughty one in the furamily (coming a close 2nd to Rosie!).
Mum says he's much younger than us (except for Rosie) and he's just silly and mischievous. I don't agree - he knows exactly what he's doing when he pounces on us and wakes up! MOL. In fact I don't think he should have our customary birthday tea!

I can't believe Justin is 3 years old today - it doesn't seem two minutes since he was a baby when he moved in with my next door neighbour Nigel!

Nigel now lives with his girlfriend on a very busy road, so I am officially Justin's owner! Justin would just hate to be an indoor only cat and Nigel was scared he would try to sneak out! He just he loves to play in our garden and climb up the trees and chase the butterflies.

He's a much-loved member of our furamily and we couldn't imagine being without him now! He's a very loving boy and is forever giving kisses!!

It's tuna for tea (Justin's favourite) and a new catnip mouse!!

My Wonderful 12th Birthday and Thankyous!!!

I had such a good time on my 12th Birthday on Monday - all thanks to my dear furiends. I was so pleased that efurryone remembered my dear angel brofur Albie too - it just made my day - my first birthday without him even more special!

Mum got us all some fresh sliced turkey from our local butchers for my birthday tea - it was yummy and we all enjoyed it. We usually have tuna but it made a lovely change for us and was such a treat! I got a new catnip mousie from my family - it's now minus its ears and tail but is still good fun to play with. MOL.

I got pawmails and lovely messages (some with cards and gifts) from Midnight, Shadow, Meep and Tyler. Thankyou so much Tyler for thinking of me when you were having your operation that day - all our family were purring for you.

Just a brief note about our Birthday!

Albie and I are overwhelmed by all the lovely messages from our dear friends and groups and our pages are overflowing with gifts for our birthday today.

Mum is not able to thank everyone yet for us and tell you about our wonderful 12th birthday as she's going to bed early (for a change) as she has an early start in the morning - 7.00 a.m. It's the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate and she goes with a friend every year and always has a great time.

She's promised me that on Wednesday she's going to do our diary entries and thank our pawsome furiends.

Tomorrow it's mine and my beloved angel brofur Albie's 12th- Birthdays!!

Tomorrow I'll be 12 years old and I'm really looking forward to my Birthday tea with my furamily. I only wish my angel brofur Albie could be here with us. This is the first time I've not celebrated my birthday with him. Mum has assured me he'll be having a wonderful party at the Bridge with our angel brofurs and sisfurs and his angel furiends and will be thinking of me, just as we're all thinking of him.

MY SISFUR CATHY IS GOING TO MARRY HER FIANCE STUMPY- TOMORROW!!!!!

My sisfur Cathy is going to be married tomorrow at long last - perhaps she'll stop going on about it all the time now! She's been practicing her vows for weeks now and is driving us all mad!

The wedding will be in the Catster Zone so that all our angel siblings and furiends can attend. The lovely Hazel Lucy (Certified Minister) has kindly agreed to officiate.

There's going to be a beautiful finger buffet (less messy for the kittens) with lots of yummy sandwiches, quiche, flans, sausage rolls, cheese etc. and the drink will be flowing - there'll be jugs of Catweiser, catnip juice and soft drinks for the tinies.

I do hope you'll be able to attend - it would make Cathy and Stumpy so happy.

It's Mother's Day on Sunday, 22nd March!!!!

On Sunday it's our Mother's Day here in England - it's a different date to U.S.A..........

So I went all round my brofurs and sisfurs and collected their pennies so I could go and get our meowmy a card. It was really difficult with Justin 'cos he wanted to keep his money for catnip but when I explained what it was for he let me have some!

My Wonderful day in the spotlight as a DDP

I really enjoyed my day yesterday as a Daily Diary Pick and all my friends made it even more special.

We all had a celebratory tea - meowmy opened some litle expensive tins for us that she had been saving - Applaws natural tuna fillets, which we all love. It was so yummy that she said all our dishes were licked so clean that they looked as it they'd already been washed up. MOL.

I'd like to thank all my good friends for celebrating with me yesterday.

A Happy and also Sad Day Today.............

Whoopee - I'm a DDP today. Meowmy just saw it when she opened her e-mails and there was one from the diary lady. Thankyou Catster.
I hope that means we'll be having a special tea tonight?
That's the Happy part of the day, which has cheered us all up!

Today would have been my angel brofur Vivaldi's 12th Birthday. He has been at the Bridge now for almost 4 years and is missed so much by my meowmy and his brofurs and sisfurs.

He doesn't have a diary yet because we have not felt able to write one yet but meowmy has promised she will do soon.

Vivaldi was just like Peter Pan - he never grew up and was always the mischievous kitten, playing tricks on us all. He was very lovable and purred non-stop although he was never in good health.

I hope he's having a wonderful party at the Bridge today with Albie and Poppet (his favourite brofurs) and his angel sisfurs. I'm sure he has made lots of friends there too because he is so friendly, with an impish sense of humour and game for anything!

Meowmy's just told me we are having a special tea tonight to celebrate my DDP and also Vivaldi's birthday.

The 'INTRUDER' (Rosie) now has her own page!!!!!!

I told you about the intruder who was going in my outside cat cabin at night!

Well, now she's found our cat flap into the kitchen and she has moved in. Meowmy keeps putting her out (the weather's not too bad now and she has a lovely sheltered place to go - even if it it mine!) but she keeps coming back in and even plays with my toys! Meowmy says she's never had catnip before and I've loads of catnip toys and shouldn't begrudge her just one!

Her name is Rosie and I must admit she is quite cute and has the most amazing green eyes.

I'm so pleased meowmy has put 'Rosie - TEMPORARY RESIDENT' on her page. Meowmy assures me that she is temporary because we have quite enough now!! She had better keep her word.

We've got an intruder!!!!!

It's a beautiful morning, the sun is shining and the snow is slowly disappearing so I thought I'd have a stroll in my garden and make sure everything's o.k.!

I decided to have a look inside my cat cabin and 'shock horror' we've had an intruder. I could smell that ANOTHER CAT had been in there and it WAS NOT any of my sisfurs or brofurs. It had been playing with our toys, had used our scratching post and had even been in the most comfy bed in there!

I shouted for my meowmy to come and look - I need an explanation!!
Meowmy said a neighbour's cat was sleeping in there because her owner puts her out at night!! The stupid woman (my meowmy said that)! Meowmy says I should be more tolerant because she's a lovely cat and we don't want her to be outside in this awful cold weather, do we? We're in our nice warm house in our comfy beds and on meowmy's bed 24/7 in this cold weather! We can't let her in our house because we have quite enough!! - and she's not used to a lot of cats and would be scared.

I suppose meowmy is right but I STILL DON'T APPROVE!!!

Revealing my Secret Admirer!!

We've now had a date and I can reveal my secret admirer is Lego. She's just gorgeous - she's only 5 years old and a real looker. She's an orangie like me but has much paler fur and is just so beautiful!

I'm loving getting to know her better!

I can tell you this Valentine's Day is going to be the bestest ever now I have the sweetest, most caring girlfriend ever!

I have to tell 7 facts about myself. Here I go:-

1. I'm a real meowmy's boy and have been more so since my dear brofur Albie went to the Bridge last November.

2. I love wafer thin chicken slices and grab them out of my meowmy's hand.

3. I love summer best 'cos I can then paddle in my pool - which has been put away for winter.

4. I'm always the first to greet meowmy when she comes home after shopping etc.

5. I get annoyed when my young brofur Justin follows me around all the time and bop him on his head. I never hurt him and he just carries on! MOL.

6. I know just who I like and who I don't! I make a fuss of some of meowmy's friends and the others I totally ignore!

7. I love all my Catster friends and love reading about all their antics in their diaries.

Today is the day our sweet little friend has her ear surgery and we're all purring non-stop that the surgery goes well and she can start the rest of her life pain-free.

Miracle for the shrimpie. Meowmy cried when she saw it and thought how lovely it was of Miracle to send me a rosette when she and her family are still reeling from the disastrous fire they had. We're purring and praying that they receive much help from the publicity - they certainly deserve it.

My friend sweet Lil' Muppet for the rainbow star. We hope Muppet receives plenty of bucks for her much needed op and our hearts go out to Muppet and her meowmy Cheryl.

Sir Alfie-Kneads-A-Lot for for the beautiful diamond. He is very dear to me and him and his beloved brofur Wally have helped me so much when my Albie went to the Bridge 19 days ago.

Romeo and his lovely family sent me a delicious turkey drumstick.

Hooch and family sent me a golden star and a cute picture. Their family too have been a tower of strength to me.

I'm feeling a lot better now and not as depressed as I have been. It's so furry hard to lose your constant companion of over 11 years.

What a Lovely Surprise!!!

When my meowmy turned on the computer this morning she saw it - Sir Alfie Kneads a Lot has chosen me to be his Friend of the Week. What a lovely surprise and I am really honoured - I think he means special friend for the week 'cos we are really good friends every day!

He really helped me when my brofur Albie went to the Bridge 15 days ago today 'cos he knew just how I was feeling. He fell into a deep depression when his beloved Wally died and was really sick and had his meowmy so worried. His brofur Wally even looks like my dear brofur Albie.

Sir Alfie started to feel better when he got a new brofur Teddy and they have been inseperable every since - except for a few days ago when Alfie came back from the vets after dental work and Teddy didn't like the way he smelled of the vets and wasn't sure who this alien was. They have been smacking and hissing at each other and it's really upsetting their meowmy. I feel sure they will soon be as close as they ever have been and that this is just temporary. I do hope so!

Thankyou efurrybody for all your good wishes and gifts when my Albie died - each one meant a lot to all our family. I'm still sleeping with my meowmy every night and following her from room to room but I am eating well again - much to meowmy's relief.

It's been 7 days now since my dear brofur Albie went to the- Bridge

It's now 7 days since I lost my brofur Albie and I'm still missing him so much. I don't feel quite as bad because I'm eating quite well now, which I didn't do for 3 days and had my meowmy so worried.
I've stopped looking all over the house for him now but last night I cried at the door to go outside and it was 1.00 in the morning (yes my meowmy was still up at that time!). I've never done that before, I'm usually in bed by 11.00 p.m. but I wanted to have a look outside to see if I could find Albie - my meowmy thought that and she's right.
Meowmy is letting me sleep on her bed now because I don't want to sleep in the lounge with Snowy, Blackie and Minky - that's where Albie and I always slept.

Meowmy has told me that time is a healer and I know she's right and I'll soon start to feel better. I think I might even start to play with my other brofurs and sisfurs now - especially the teenager Justin - he's good fun when I feel like it and other times he's a complete pest!

I was tagged last month by my good friend Lily, to write 3 things I don't like and 3 things I do like. Well here goes:-

1. I don't like tinned cat food, only tuna in spring water (our Friday night treat).

2. I don't like it when Justin jumps on me and wants to play. Mum says "he's just a silly teenager Alfie!" Well I'll be glad when he grows up!

3. I don't like loud music and when mum has hers on too loud I put my ears flat to my head and she turns it down for me!

2. I like it when Ellie (the little girl mum looks after) goes home 'cos then I get more of mum's attention!

3. I like my mum - well I love her really and give her loads of kisses and headbutts.

Our 11th Birthday

My brother Albie and I had the best birthday ever and received the most beautiful gifts, lovely birthday cards, best wishes from our groups and lots of pawmail.

Our pages are overflowing with birthday hats, baseballs, beachballs, red hearts, cupcakes, bluebirds, butterflies, ladybugs, flowers, delicious cartons of milk (all with wonderful messages) and we got lovely birthday cards too.

Our friend Alfie (from Luton) sent us beautiful hand-made birthday cards in the post - we just love them and they have pride of place on our mantle place.

The Tabbies with Tudes and Pawsitive Pawsee groups made us the most beautiful wallpaper on their main pages. When we saw them we couldn't believe our eyes and felt so important. Thankyou Queenie and Roger & Humphrey for those.

The Thundercats group threw us a party, the spread of food was just so delicious and the decorations amazing. We were so sorry that we could only stay for a short time 'cos our mum had arranged to see a friend. It was so kind and thoughtful of them. Thankyou Mommi Thunderbear.

Mum made us all a special tea - there was Tuna Imperial and chicken and (talk about cat's chorus!) she sang Happy Birthday to us! Our present hasn't arrived yet (mum you should have organised it earlier!). We heard her talking to her human daughter Louise about some boogie mats she's ordered all the way from America, so we're really looking forward to getting them and are listening for the postman every morning.

We just didn't know we had so many special friends on Catster and send our heartfelt thanks and purrs to each and efurryone of them.

It really was the BEST Birthday ever!
