1. Do you have a valentine?
I'm not sure. I did have a girlfriend Lego but she never replied to my pawmail or said she'd received the last card I sent her. I do hope she's keeping well.
2. If not, do you wish you did? Is there anyone particular? Or would you rather be single? Why?
I'm not interested in girls any more - only as good friends!
3. What's your favorite love song? Who sings it?
I like "Always on my mind" by Elvis Presley.
4. What would be a perfect Valentines Day for you?
Lots more cuddles from Mum and tuna for supper. mmmm
We all just love being on Catster and get loads of fun and pleasure from it and have some fantastic friends here.
I don't know if any other 'big' families have come across the same prejudice for having 'too many cats'! Mum would just like to point out that she is not a hoarder (having 13 cats!). We are all very well cared for, loved a lot, given the best food and toys and all have regular vet checks.
Mum adopted the majority of us when our local Rescue Centre closed down. We had been with Mum for many years as foster cats and nobody wanted us because we were either not too friendly (ex feral) or had ongoing medical problems. When we were all rescued we went into the Rescue Cat Pens in Mum's garden and when we were all tested and fully vaccinated, de-flead and wormed etc. etc. we went into Mum's house to make way for more rescue kitties in the Cat Pens. In a way this was a good idea, and another not, 'cos when anyone came to see us we would hide in corners and under beds etc. and the majority of people didn't want us because we were not friendly enough and they wanted either lap cats or kittens. Mum did, however, over the years home a vast number of cats and kittens from our house.
When the Cat Rescue closed down Mum had the option of sending us to a Shelter for re-homing or adopting us herself. She knew that if we went to the Shelter we would be absolutely terrified and would be overlooked for adoption or those with medical conditions would regress and that eventually we would be euthanased.
Since Mum adopted all my brofurs and sisfurs, my sweet sisfurs Annie and Pippa have died of old-age and my beloved brofurs Albie, Poppet and Vivaldi of cancer but they all had at least 6 years in a loving home, some much longer.
Could you have let cats be euthanased that you had loved for 4 years and longer?? I know my Mum couldn't!!
