Gray was snatched up from a barnful of feral fixed barn cats the day following Luther's death. He had a terrible skin condition, but was loveable & had the loudest rumbly jingly purr.
I also selected another feral cat, Miss Alice, and it took a few days for them to make nice.
Gray went from the barn to the house in short order, and now rules the house! He'll go outside from time to time, but waits for me to carry him inside (he's terrified of the feral dogs I'm taming, and Homey who beats him up).
His fur is gorgeous now, and he's a real love bug. Laps are still weird things though.

...that's me! Ma keeps telling me I am, so I must be. **blush**
I'm inside at the moment, napping in front of the woodstove, being wonderful. I think Mom likes me best-!
Uh oh, here comes Homey.....and Nona! They want my spot in front of the woodstove. Make me move! HA!
WAHHHH Homey socked me! OWWWW! Mom!?! And AGAIN>>>!!
Well Ma has her spank-some-kitty-butt look going on, so I'm going to hide behind the underwear drawer again. Ta-Ta!!

Homey & I are now best buds!! I forget whose idea that was, probably Ma's, but WE have truced & hang out like Pub-mates. I don't drink but I think Homey does.
As long as he doesn't drive.
It's realllll hot here in TN, can't wait for autumn! Mom makes wonderful things in her woodstove.
Homey & I stay outside now, Mom's kinda sad about that. But I'm large & lovely and my territory is expanding.
Woooo here comes Homey, ackkkkk he IS driving!

Hello again, Ma says I'm the prettiest boy ever. I'm so clean & composed! Ickky Homey is inside today, and I think he's all gross & stinky.
He did come from a barn somewhere; meanwhile I am a barn-again, oops I mean born-again, house kitty.
I'm letting Homey stay so we can dispatch a mouse in the house; of course I will be in charge! Maybe I will let him cook up the mouse for MY supper.
Hahaha....oops, uh, Homey's giving me the EVIL EYE! I think Momma is going to intervene. No one asked her!! But it might be a good idea, bye!!
