Arrival Story:
I was looking for adoptables and I noticed a write up about Bettie on the Northern Virginia's SPCA website. She was currently being fostered out and doing well but she had quite a history. First off I noticed that she got along well with every cat she lived with and that she would also be a good companion for a dog. Seeing as how I already had a cat and I'd like a dog in the near future this stood out. In the NOVA SPCA newsletter there was an article written about her. She was found over a year ago wandering around an apartment development with her sister, another calico who was VERY pregnant. Bettie was only 4 pounds when they caught her and they really thought she wasn't going to make it. Luckily NOVA SPCA was able to get her the medical help she needed (my vets couldn't believe the amount of work they did) and now she' s thriving!

Bio:
Bettie is a wonderful addition to our family, we just adopted her about 3 months ago. Her name was originally Twiggy due to her skinniness but when I adopted her she had recently gained signifigantly more weight. So I decided to name her after a more fitting model. (Bettie Page). She follows me around the house just like a puppy, if I turn around she's right there. She's calm, cool and collected although she has a very playful side which usually comes out in the evening. One of her favorite games is playing with Benji through the living room curtain and watching my two parakeets Dagobert and Asmodeus.
