Arrival Story:
I was running errands on Christmas Eve and sure wasn't looking for a kitten! I was at PetCo and doggonit, there was one of the local adoption agencies there with kittens. I have been real good about being able to oooh and ahhh over the kittens, and then donate a bag of food or litter, but I made eye contact with this tiny little tuxedo girl. A voice in my head said "give this baby a good Christmas, mom." I think Elliott made this happen! It was a year ago today that I assumed care for his chronic renal failure and picked him up from two days of IV fluids and critical care.
Bio:
Cammi's mom was a feral cat who was trapped, turned into Town Cats (a local rescue organization) and scheduled to be spayed. But overnight she gave birth to 6 kittens, 2 of whom didn't survive. Cammi's mother Gina was a baby herself, just 6 months old! Cammi and her siblings fought off the obligatory kitten colds, but they did fine. Town Cats expects Cammi to stay very tiny like her mother.
Her shelter name was Hera which is a very nice name but it just didn't go with her brofur's names. We have a tradition of cats being named after hockey players, so I thought and thought and then remembered... Cammi Granato, the best female hockey player in the United States! So Cammi she is!

My mommy wants to thank Town Cats and my foster parent Eric Nellen for raising such a sweet kitten. Cammi is the sweetest and most affectionate baby of the bunch! She loves a good cuddle, is patient with her tiny sweaters, and learns so fast! I am so happy her little kitty mommy had those kittens in that trap! Cammi is truly a gift from God, sent to me by my brave boy Elliott!
