Black and White

Tiki Cat, cuddles, one-on-one ball play, strolling and sleeping in a warm safe place (her tiny bed).

So far, just Ryan (sibling rivalry). And her tiny sweater, which she cries about but really does like.

Favorite Toy:
She loves balls of all types, feather toys and foam tennis balls.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Anyplace warm, her tiny bed or Big Pink.

Favorite Food:
Her Royal Highness eats Tiki Cat & Weruva canned food (fish varieties preferred); she sneaks Royal Canin kibble because she doesn't want anyone to know she eats crunchies!

Cuddlebug. Comes when called.

Arrival Story:
I was running errands on Christmas Eve and sure wasn't looking for a kitten! I was at PetCo and doggonit, there was one of the local adoption agencies there with kittens. I have been real good about being able to oooh and ahhh over the kittens, and then donate a bag of food or litter, but I made eye contact with this tiny little tuxedo girl. A voice in my head said "give this baby a good Christmas, mom." I think Elliott made this happen! It was a year ago today that I assumed care for his chronic renal failure and picked him up from two days of IV fluids and critical care.

Cammi's mom was a feral cat who was trapped, turned into Town Cats (a local rescue organization) and scheduled to be spayed. But overnight she gave birth to 6 kittens, 2 of whom didn't survive. Cammi's mother Gina was a baby herself, just 6 months old! Cammi and her siblings fought off the obligatory kitten colds, but they did fine. Town Cats expects Cammi to stay very tiny like her mother. Her shelter name was Hera which is a very nice name but it just didn't go with her brofur's names. We have a tradition of cats being named after hockey players, so I thought and thought and then remembered... Cammi Granato, the best female hockey player in the United States! So Cammi she is! Thank you!:
My mommy wants to thank Town Cats and my foster parent Eric Nellen for raising such a sweet kitten. Cammi is the sweetest and most affectionate baby of the bunch! She loves a good cuddle, is patient with her tiny sweaters, and learns so fast! I am so happy her little kitty mommy had those kittens in that trap! Cammi is truly a gift from God, sent to me by my brave boy Elliott! Go to get yourself a bundle of love!

Hi everyone, it's me, Cammi! I don't live in San Jose anymore. I miss the city life, but I now live on a 1/4 acre lot that has lots going on outside. I don't get to go outside at all because there are many MEAN dogs around here, including our own. They are pit bull crosses and mom says she will never adopt that kind of dog again! They are weird and destructive and she does not trust them with us. Stupid dogs even killed an opossum in the back yard!

I am here with Ryan and Matt. Scottie got lost last May but he was found in December. Unfortunately he was very sick and died in January. Mom misses him, but she was so mad at him for jumping over, because he never did! She knew he had a crummy sense of direction. Even though we looked for him a lot, pushing me around in Big Pink, we never saw him running around the apartment complex, and the security guys never saw him. Mom thinks someone locked him up and then when his herpes flared up, they threw him outside.

But I'm okay, looking forward to my 5th birthday on August 1!

I voted!

Mom took me with her to the polling place today—well, she wanted to walk and she walks better with the stroller. So the first cat she caught was ... me. She usually prefers Scottie because he truly loves to stroll, but he's mad at her because he's on antibiotics for snots. He's hiding from Mom now.

So I got to go to the polling place, but I was asked to leave because I meowed too much! A nice poll worker took me outside and talked to me while Mom voted. She had already marked a sample ballot so it didn't take long.

Now there's a "I have voted" sticker on Big Pink.

Did your human vote today? Mom says if you vote you have a right to bitch about government, and if you don't vote, shut up about our crummy government!

Mom was out of the apartment yesterday so we celebrated my DDP today. I got lots of treats and tried to sneak out onto the patio but mom had none of that! So I had to settle for acting like I was starving to death and that the chicken and tuna I had for dinner lst night didn't get the job done.

Mom says I am a sneaky sneaky little brat! But she wouldn't have it any other way.
