indoors Arrival Story: August 2006 my boyfriend was outside working on his Jeep and a cat came walking up the driveway. He called for me to come out and see. The kittie was very hungry so I fed her some food. She seemed to be very young and having 5 older cats already I just coudn't keep her. It was a Sunday night so I took her to our emergency Vet. They told me she was full of milk and could have kittens somewhere and I should take her back where I found her. So off we went and came back home and left her outside. She stayed outside for a week and I took her to my vet. He told me her milk had dried up and was not nursing...I never saw any babies. So crying all the way I took her to the shelter. They didn't even charge me to take her since I had given them about 300 lbs of cat food that year. Every Saturday I went to see her to see if she had been adopted..she hadn't. After 6 weeks the shelter had taken her to the pet supermarket to see if anyone would adopt her there..well someone did..me. I couldn't take seeing her lose her personality any longer. I took her into my guest bedroom and she was so happy! After a week I let her out amongst the others and things were okay for awhile but then one day Bubba bit her backside and when I came home from work she was in lots of pain with an abcess. $600 later at the emergency vet Sweetie is back in her bedroom and seems to be doing fine there. I go in and play with her and she is happy. I'm planning on putting a screen door on her room so she can slowly get used to the cats again. She is one very happy cat!
