Our Shining Star
A bright star shone in the night sky above, twinkling strongly. It seemed to get brighter as the night wore on. As the humans struggled with a way to tell their children that their beloved animal was gone to the Bridge, the tears sparkled as they fell from their eyes. They looked to the heavens and saw the bright star glittering and watched as it got stronger.
They exchanged glances, wondering, then both smiled at each other.
Walking hand in hand, they returned to the room where the children were. Slowly they all joined hands and bowed their heads, for the children already knew in their hearts what had happened and why their parents were so teary eyed. They all lifted their heads and looked at each other, then one by one went out to see that bright shining star. One child said, "Look! There are many other bright stars too! Are those other animals that have passed over the Bridge?" The father said, in all honesty, that he didn't know, but he knew the one very bright one was their pet.
Mustering the strength to ask, the youngest of the children asked how his father knew that. The father replied, "All pets
pass over the Bridge and become a star of love in our hearts and stay with us throughout our time here on earth. When it is our time to go, we will meet up again with our pets and be together for eternity. They watch over us from day to day in all that we do and in little ways, make sure that we know that they are there." The child sweetly looked at his mother and father and sister and said, "That makes me feel better knowing Twofer is up there and watching me. I'll watch him too whenever I see that bright star or hear the wind blow a certain way or the sun shine brightly on his patch of carpet." The mother was amazed at the child's heartfelt words, but also knew in her heart that he was right.
The moral of this little story is this. Yes, we do feel pain when we lose that beloved pet and yes, it does so hurt us. But the pet, no matter what kind, is happy and feels no pain and runs free as it did as a young one. They are always with us, no matter what we do or say, watching over us from above over that beautiful Rainbow Bridge, waiting for us to join them so we can all be together with them again. The pain will lessen with time, as it should be, but the memories will stay forever in your heart and bring a smile to your face when you least expect it. Cherish those memories as long as you live! I do!

WHEN I WAS AT HOME I WAS A PRINCESS! WELL IN MY MOMMY AND DADDY'S EYES I WAS. I SPENT MY DAYS LOUNGING IN MY EASY CHAIR OR IN THE COMPUTER CHAIR. EATING MY DINNER FROM A PLATE THAT MY DADDY WOULD PLACE ON THE BED FOR ME. "NOW TELL ME I WAS NOT SPOILED".IT WILL SOON BE 13 WEEKS SINCE I HAD TO LEAVE MY FAMILY "AND I MISS THEM SO MUCH AND I AM SURE THEY MISS ME". I AM WITH MY SISTERS NOW. PRISSY AND MY TWO SISTERS I HAD TO SAY GOOD BYE TO SO LONG AGO PEPPER AND ALEXIS. AND YES DADDY I STILL HAVE THE NASTY SCRATCH ON MY NOSE THAT PEPPER GAVE ME MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I GOT TO CLOSE TO HER AND SHE "THUMPED ME A GOOD ONE". OH MY I HAVE SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN OFF OF MY STORY "AHEM" EXCUSE ME. WELL LETS SEE WHERE WERE WE OH YES MY LIFE AS A PRINCESS!!! MOMMY AND DADDY WOULD GIVE ME "BUTT SPANKEYS" THEY CALLED THEM LOVE TAPS?? I WOULD COME UP TO THEM AND THEY WOULD PAT ME GENTLY ON MY LITTLE BEHIND AND WHEN I HAD ENOUGH AND YOU NOTICE THAT I SAID "WHEN I HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!! I WOULD DO MY ARMY CRAWL IN A LADY LIKE MANNER BUT NONE THE LESS "MY ARMY CRAWL" THEN I WOULD GO ON MY MAT AND HAVE MY CATNIP AND MAYBE A PAT OR TWO ON THE HEAD. HEEHEE I LOVED THEM!!!!!! MY DAYS AS A PRINCESS ARE NOW OVER AT LEAST IN A EARTHLY FORM I NOW AM A ANGEL PRINCESS A BEAUTIFUL ANGEL PRINCESS WHO SPENDS HER DAYS PLAYING AND FLYING WITH MY SISTERS AND FURFRIENDS BUT I FLY DOWN AND WATCH OVER MY FAMILY AND THEY KNOW THIS MY SISTER REANAN GIVES THEM WARNING WHEN I COME TO VISIT. NO KIDDING REANAN WILL BE LAYING ON THE BED "WHERE I ONCE LOVED TO LAY ON MY FAVORITE PILLOW"AND SHE WILL HISS AND JUMP OFF OF THE BED AND LOOK BACK AS IF TO SEE SOMETHING BUT NOTHING IS THERE OR AT LEAST YOU CAN'T SEE ME BUT OH YES I COME TO SURVEY MY LAND AND MAKE SURE ALL IS WELL AND TO GIVE REEREE AND GOOD SCARE A PAY BACK FOR ALL THE TIMES SHE CHASED ME. SO I GUESS IN SAYING THIS I WILL GO NOW. JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW HOW THE LIFE OF A PRINCESS IS. HAVE A PAWSOME DAY KISSES ZOEY

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful. 2. Give me time to understand what you want of ME. 3. PLACE YOUR TRUST IN ME.It is crucial for my well-being. 4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as Punishment. You have your work, your friends your entertainment, but I have only you. 5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me. 6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it. 7.Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you. 8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or WEAK. 9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old. 10. ON the ultimate difficult journey, go with me
Please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't Make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are THERE BECAUSE I LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
TAKE A MOMENT TO THANK GOD FOR YOUR PETS ENJOY THEM AND TAKE CARE OF THEM WE DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR HEAVEN TO BE SURROUNDED BY HOPE,LOVE AND JOYFULNESS IT IS HERE ON EARTH AND HAS FOUR LEGS
