I've been at the Bridge for 6 weeks!

Hi kitties! Today marks my 6th week here at the Rainbow Bridge. Mom thought it was about time she helped me with my diary. She was already crying and missing me, so she thought a little (or a lot more crying) wouldn't hurt! When I arrived here at the Bridge on October 23rd, I was welcomed by Kiki and all of mom's furbabies, my best furiend Henry, beautiful Athena of the A Team, Arthur, my angel guardian Buddie and all the wonderful furiends I had met during my 6 years on Catster that have gone before me.

Mom says she gets the saddest when she is by herself on her days off from work. Even dad says when mom is at work and he is by himself, it is tough. Mom came home from work one Monday night and dad was on the sofa crying and he said he gets the saddest when he is alone. Dad said that Gimli went around the house into each room one night and looked all over for me. I think K.C. and Tabi miss me too. They sleep more on the sofa now. K.C. even sits on mom and dad's laps now while they watch tv!

Mom says that it was an honor that I had hung on and waited for them both to come home from work. Well, I loved them and thought of them highly. They said I was always with them through thick and thin and in good times and in bad. I moved all the way from Florida here to Texas with them!

Well, I must go back to playing with my furiends here at the Bridge! Love y'all!

Hi Nigel! It's very, very tough for our families to live without us. My momma cried and cried for months! It's a good thing your pawents have other furbabies there to comfort them. My momma was all alone so I sent Finney and Lacey to her. She was just too darned depressed. It'll take a long time for your momma not to think of you every minute. We know how it feels. We're purring for your family.

Hi Nigel, I think I furgot to say Welcome to the bridge! It is hard for our humans the first few months. As of this Monday, the 6th, I'll have been up at the Bridge for two years! Wow, time goes by kinda fast up here!

Yes Nigel it is a hard transition. We Angels work hard this time of year trying to support the new arrivals with this and to spread some secret kitty dust of support on those we leave behind.

Hi Nigel,
It's tough on them we we're "gone". At first it seems like we're no longer there and they get lonely and sad. But I have visited my mum and dad often, and so has my sister Missy. Love is forever!
