Birthday: January 1st 2000 Arrival Story: Libby was an only cat with a dog as a companion. Libby's human mom had to undergo treatment for cancer and could not keep either pet. A mutual friend told us that her friend had found a home for the dog, but not for Libby. She knew were were 'Cat People' having adopted six cats and having had loved three that have passed over the rainbow. We really could not handle another cat, but giving her to the pound was a death sentence. So we could not refuse.
The night Libby was brought over we thought we had made a big mistake. Never ever had we encountered a cat so violently angry. She was mean and powerful and scary. We'd never heard such blood curdlying screams from a domestic cats. Libby was scared and angry. As the days went on, we'd go into her safe room and lay on the bed. Eventually she started to come up on the bed and in time she became a loving cat. But she has never ever gotten used to other cats. She's a loner. Any of the other cats some near, and she becomes angry and lashes out. Libby is very vocal. Shes a Munchkin. She's a lover bug for humans. A terror for other cats. Libby was declawed (not by us, we simply clip the other cats nails). Libby is wonderful, but unpredictable. And she'll bite. Hard. Tempermental. But she is also sweet and loving. It is all part of her being Libby. For her one year anniversary with us we got a collar that says "Libby Libby Libby". Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 I've Been On Catster Since:
