Leave a treat for Itty Bitty Kitty (1989 - 2003)

Nicknames: He was most often "itty" or "bitty" to us.

Likes: He loved head rubs and using his needle-like claws to wake my dad up, usually by poking him in the toe.

Pet-Peeves: Itty was not fond of too much petting. Petting always had to be on his own terms - usually established by walking just out of reach.

Favorite Toy: My parents will have to fill in this one - sadly I was not living near Itty for the past few years.

Favorite Nap Spot: He liked to be on human level - on the couch or the chair or on the queen size bed.

Favorite Food: I think Itty fairly well qualified as an omnivore.

Skills: He had enough skills to escape from a raccoon and survive his family - Mister Kitty and Mrs. Kitty - but his best skill was being sweet.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: Back when I was living at home, I had coerced my parents into keeping one cat (mr.). They stringently denied ever liking cats, yet a second cat (mrs.) moved on in with us when her life was threatened. Around this time, my grandmother found a kitten curled up against her engine block, just as she was going to drive off. Soon after, when she was unable to take care of the little mite anymore, my dad drove up to Michigan, unwittingly about to be the conductor of a cat rescue. After a pleasant 13 hour drive home, Itty Bitty Kitty was christened into the new family. He rapidly took over the job of being the "fun" and personable cat from the other two who never liked those jobs very much.

Bio: Itty went through alot in his life; he was bitten by a raccoon, and narrowly avoided death by veterinarian through my pained pleadings. As a result he had a crazy surgery to install some cyber-tendons in his back leg... he was better about staying away from the wildlife after that. Later on he got an infection in his ear that after it was all said and done, left him with a little floppy mop-ear. He always presented a cheerful disposition, however. We miss you Itty Bitty Kitty!
