This is my story, I do hope that you find it of interst to you. I was adopted from the local shelter and received my name because my Human was going to school for Deisel training and I got the name of Deisel. I was a wild curious kitty and I enjoyed getting into everything and anything. I lived with my newlywed Humans and my Human Mommy spoiled me alot. My Mama is orginally from Yorkshire, England. She moved to Wisconsin to get married and then I came along shortly after the wedding, hummmm I wonder???
I spent time in Wisconsin chasing flies, and scratching on my post- but then after 1 year I overhear them talking about England and I was taken to the Vet and I heard that Vet person talking about "shots" that I would need to go to England and That I would also need to have a extra "chip" implanted in me for identification. All of this sounded like a "ouch" to me and I wondered what I was in for. But I survived all of the "shots and chip implanting" and after a while I was introduced to a airline approved crate. My personal opinion on that crate was "I didn't like it at all" but I was allowed to crawl in and out of the crate and I got used to it. I noticed over the following weeks that the place that I wondered around in was getting empty, things were disappearing in from of my eyes.
Then one day I went for a long ride, I ended up at O'Hare Airport and I was put on an airplane, boy was that an experience, and noisy WOW, that scared the death out of me. All I wanted was to be let out of that crate, I will never go into that thing again. Anyhow after a 8 hour flight and arrival in Manchester, England I found out that I was now a "Catcizen" of Jolly Old England. My Human's picked me up and I was over joyed to see a familar face, of course I had to act like I was mad at them, but I was so happy to see them. We arrived at my new home and I found out something new, a fireplace. I suddenly changed from a white and gray cat to an all gray cat as I attempted to run up the chimmney. I learned that was a great trick to get everyone to notice me.
That was a year ago and I have found out that I have a roommate, a Cat named Teal'c. I try very hard to place with Teal'c but she is older than me and just likes to sleep alot. I have learned a couple of things that get attention, one of them is I can turn off the washer and dryer as the button is on top. But I do enjoy watching the washer/dryer as it spins around while the wash is going. But they don't like it when I turn the machines off, oh well I do keep them on their toes. I also enjoy sitting in the bathtub and trying to catch the water as it drips. But the best thing about living in England is the fish and chips. I am not much of a chips eatter, but the fish is delicous.
So that is my story in a shorten version, so I will end for now and I would like to say, I have not lost my American accent. My meow is the same as it was a year ago, I refuse to loose my American style even tought Teal's is trying Her hardest to switch my ways.
For now I say "PipPip and Cherrio to you" from Jolly Old England.
Meows to all,
