A friend was moving and she did not want to leave Sam with her Ex who was very rough and abusive to Sam. I took him as a temporary favor, and never looked back. He was a bit mean and cranky at first, but he has come to be sweet and will even let strangers pet him at times. He tolerates everyone in his life fairly well now.
