Lucky has been a VERY interesting little boy, to say the least! From the moment I brought him home, you would never know that he had been outside for his entire life. Well, I assume he has. As you may have read from his arrival story, he was one of the feral/stray cats from JFK airport that I trapped and brought home.

He is very attached to his new mommy and is constantly tangled in my feet. I accidentally stepped on his tail the other day and he screamed like he was being murdered. LOL! Funny thing is, he normally has a little squeak of a meow and usually kind of chirps at me instead. It is absolutely the cutest little sound I've ever heard. :-)

He learned his name immediately and comes whenever I call. He also knows when he is being naughty and after jumping down from where ever he SHOULDN'T be, immediately comes to me and chirps "what mommy?? I love you!!! Give me kisses!!" Little bugger knows exactly how to get to me. :-)

However... I have had to totally kitty-proof my apartment. EVERYTHING is a toy to Lucky. EVERYTHING. He knocks down, plays with and worst of all, CHEWS anything. His favorite "flavor" is cardboard. :-/ You may have noticed this from the above pictures. Oy. While on one had it was pretty funny when I came home to cardboard confetti on the floor one day, I had to get rid of that thing as he was also SWALLOWING some of it. Double oy.

That's my biggest fear with him. Not only does he swallow some of the cardboard, but some other things he finds. He goes in, under, over behind, through everything in the house. Places my two girls never dreamed of. And he keeps coming out with stuff to chew on and eat. He came upstairs from my aunt's part of the house with a hat pin and with a piece of glass. he doesn't go down there anymore... I found a piece of rubberband sticking out of a piece of his poop. Where he got that I'll never know - I'm super careful with things like that, along with ribbon and string.

I wish I knew how to break him of this. I got him a dog chew toy, but he ignores that. Figures.

He's still very much a baby - tearing through the house and terrorizing the girls. I'm sure he'll mellow out eventually and Callie actually sleeps with him and grooms him. Casey still hates him. Fortunately not with quite the ferociousness of when he first came home.

He does snuggle up with me and purrs like a motorboat when he's all tuckered out. Sleeping comfortably is ummm... a challenge when you have 3 cats vying for a spot somewhere on or next to your body. LOL!

Oh, and he is my 6 am alarm clock. Problem is, I don't get up until 9. Unfortunately I DO get up at 6 am now to stop him from knocking over/chewing whatever I don't have any place to put it away. Fortunately for him, "timeouts" in the bathroom are getting less and less. Lord knows the lack of sleep is making me cranky.

Oh, and he's decided he enjoys humping poor Callie. Yeah, he's fixed but doesn't seem to know it. It's rather amusing to see a little six pound cat attempt to get around a 20 pounder and even funnier seeing her "what the heck??!!" expression the first time he tried. Needless to say, neither of us tolerate it.

But I love the little monster. He's a love bug one minute and a holy terror the next.

That's my boy.

:-)
