Arrival Story:
I heard about the Stanford Cat Network when I was a student at Stanford, and when I went there I was impressed. They bring in feral cats from the campus (there are TONS because students often lose or abandon them), spay/neuter them, then release them again. If there are kittens, they bring them in and find them good homes. Zephyr was part of a litter and they were afraid they couldn't place him because he's solid black. I'm not superstitious about that and love black kitties (and was enchanted by how active he was) and so I adopted him. He was weaned a little early and is freakin' needy, but otherwise doesn't show signs of his feral origins.

Bio:
Zephyr is sweet and just doesn't know how to deal with being attacked. When we lived with my parents, my Mom's puppy kept trying to "play" with him - which involved rolling him over on his back and chewing on him. Zephyr wouldn't resist, he'd just freeze like a deer in the headlights. I figure that if he ever met a dangerous dog he'd get killed or something, so he's an indoor kitty. Thank heavens I managed to teach him to claw the cat tree and not the furniture!
