My new vet is wonderful

I met my new vet yesterday and while I don't like being taken to strange places in the car, I have to admit they were pretty awesome there. They only treat cats so there were no scary doggy smells there. No smells at all. It was big and new and clean. I had blood and urine samples taken and they didn't hurt me a bit. The last 2 times my old vet took blood, I got a hematoma and needed a bandage but this time Mommy can't even tell where they took it from. And my old vet was trying to make Mommy lock me up until I peed in an empty litterbox to get a sample but the new place just used a needle. (they all seemed to think my old vet was a bit loony about that one. Radiocat lady admitted that there was no good reason not to use a needle but she didn't want to criticize my doctor) Dr. Hester does not think that I have hyperthyroid at all and until she rules out everything else, Mommy cancelled my Radiocat treatment. But since I was allergic to the medicine if we do end up finding out I really do have hyperT, I have to have the treatment because I can not take the medicine. I have several bald and raw spots around my neck and shoulders from scratching so much. So we are just waiting for the tests to come back and then in a month I have to have more once the medicine is out of my system. I did gain back almost half a pound though. Right now Mommy is just not sure if she should move everybody there or just see how things go for a while. My doggy brother would have to stay at the old place but he never gets sick so he only goes once a year. He's a big strong MUTT! But Mommy really likes SOME of the people at my old vet so she feels bad leaving them completely. She just needs somebody she can count on and trust to always be available with me because I am sick.
