Arrival Story:
I lost 2 beloved kitties~ Sydney Rose and my little fur soulmate Wally in the space of 47 days. When a beloved fur baby dies I normally need to lots of time before I can even think of another. This time however I also had to consider my sweet Alfie who had fallen into a depression. Vibes from mom and he especially missed Wally. So somewhat reluctantly I got in touch with the same rescue network that helped me get Alfie. I went to an adoption, Saturday December 8th. I knew I wanted a male kitten and I was leaning toward a tuxedo but I also knew it was out of my hands. A kitty was going to pick me. So many adorable babies, even a tuxedo but none of them were saying to me," I am the one!" I was actually going to leave when Barbara, the lady in charge of the rescue realized she had not "unpacked" one of the carriers. I was watching her from about 6ft away..First she picked up a sweet brown tabby and my heart speeded up a bit..This was momma cat who had been taken in by a nice woman (same story as Alfie's) Barbara reached into the carrier and out came her baby.It took me a split second and I knew. He was it. I reached for him and he came to me like he had already belonged. He snuggled against me purring a very strong loud purr.I lifted him so that we were eye to eye. He licked my nose. Tears stung my eyes. Yes, he was the one.
