Skills: He makes this "trlling" noise that is so cute. Snorkling? Annoying Nermal? Being cute? All of the above.
Arrival Story: I'd about given up on finding a second companion to myself and Nermal when, in the desperate search for kitty litter one night at PetsMart, I saw who was to become Jacques in the window-- held in the arms of the cat rescue volunteer. It was love at first "hold"-- but in all seriousness, who can resist a kitten of three months? So despite all common sense, I took him home.
Yet, I worried about his name-- what would I call this 2.5 pound kitten, now a part of my life? The answer became clear when his first act of exploration proved to be a snorkling trip in the toliet. Ah, I said, Jacques Cousteau. And the name's stuck and proven itself appropriate.
Bio: He's doubled in size in merely two weeks! This Maine Coon will be huge! But, he's a lovable beast; I can tell already. Nermal has accepted him into her household with ease; they play together now; chase is the favorite passtime, though Nermal does love pawing Jacques' head repeatedly. He doesn't seem to mind.
Jacques has moved to Lake Tahoe with me and loves it! He is too much of a gentle giant to catch the mice, however. I discovered him licking one's head the other day!
