Arrival Story:
My husband did not like cats until he met me. After marrying me and my dogs and cats - the cats slowly won him over. Our first Christmas together, I took him to the animal shelter to show him a kitten that the girls in the office were planning to give to our boss. It was playtime and several of the kittens were playing together. While I was trying to locate the kitten in question - Gabriel climbed up Fred's leg, onto his chest, and started licking his beard. When I turned to say something to Fred, he was holding Gabe and they were eyeball to eyeball and gazing at each other with adoration. It's been that way ever since.

Bio:
Gabe gets along better with our dog, Boomer, than any of the other cats. He is so mellow that I have yet to see anything really irritate him. He has never hissed. Boomer drags him across the floors and Gabe plays "dust mop". They wrestle and play like 2 puppies. Gabe is TOTALLY devoted to his Daddy. I'll do in a pinch, but Daddy and Boomer are definitely his favorites.

My best friend and pet dog, Boomer, chewed on my ear and I developed what they said was a hematoma in my ear. My ear swelled up real big and was real hard and quite tender. My veterinarian operated on me and I had to spend the night in the hospital. Afterwards Mommy and Daddy had to try and keep the wound open to drain and put medicine on it and it hurt really bad. I never bit or clawed, just cried out for mercy. This went on for about 10 days, but the ear just kept filling back up with blood again. So I had to have surgery on it a second time. This time my vet sewed it differently so it couldn't fill up with blood again. Now my ear is permanently bent. But...Mommy and Daddy say it gives me character!
