Birthday: October 25th 2004 Arrival Story: Herbie was rescued along with Maggie Mae on Oct 25, 2004 he was about a year old. He came from a home of many cats over 100!. There was a nice older couple who went to cat shows and adopted cats that would be put down for not being able to be show material. Sadly this is something that happens. Not every breeder is responsible!
Well that would spay and neuter these cats. The only problem is they never adopted them out!
We were so lucky to find him. Maggie Mae and Herbie were to pees in a pod. From the moment we adopted him he was ill. He was markly small for his breed and chronically ill with resp infections. He had one sinus infections after the next. Months later his kidneys started to fail.
We keep him going with medications and twice a day SQ fluids in his neck. His frail body became worse after a sudden rapid heart rhythm one night in late November 2006. He was bedridden at age 3! He never left the bed. He was so weak we carried him around the house. My dog Snuggles kept vigial next to him. He would lay there so weak and ill. He could not eat. He could not control his bodily functions. His bedding needed changing 5-6 times a day.
On 12-02-06 exactly one year ago today we let his suffering end. Our Vet agreed that we did every thing we could to keep him going. Bio: There is nothing I would not have given up, if I could have had more time with Herbie. He was the most loving cat I have ever meet.
Forever I will miss you 12-02-06! I will never forget the joy you gave me! I can not believe you have been gone 2 years now. I miss you the same. I still cry when I say your name. I miss you Herbie. This house has never been the same. You truly were the glue that kept us all together. Since you are gone you siblings fight! Mya had to go on medication for her behavior! I know you sick little body could not go on! I just want you to know the big loss you are to us!!
I will never have another Herbie the love bug!
I am thankful for the gift of Angel! She mirrors your personality!! But still is not you! I will wait till the day when we can be together!
