I'm DDP!

my mom just checked her e-mail and discovered that my diary has been selected to be featured all day for everybody to see! a big honor!

Mom asked me to say thank you everybody and would you give some Power of the Paw to Rumelita kitty mom, MEOW! please pray for her recovery!

As for me, mom told me I can have a special treat to celebrate, but only if I promise to share with the others... aw, mom! could I not not share??? *winks*

Power of the Paw for Rumelita!

Rumelita (catster ID 917692) needs your prayers and the power of the paw! The vet told mom and dad that Rumelita should have a chance and started an aggressive treatment with Prednisole hoping that she gets better. You see, she had surgery to have her left eye removed and a few days later we noticed she was walking weird. She could not stand without losing her balance. Apparently she had a stroke and for the last 8 days she has been on treatment... 5 days full dosis, reducing over the next 15 days, little by little.

My mom cries a lot, because it is hard to see Rumelita like that. But Rumelita eats and drinks and makes an effort to stand up and she likes her therapy sessions, where she gets massage and can walk with assistance. Some days she is more tired and cannot walk so much, other days she RUNS. But it is hard and she is making slow progress, we think.

Mom and dad had been talking about the possibility of Rumelita going to the Bridge, but Dad said he will not give up on her, not until Rumelita herself gives up. Please help us with your good thoughts and prayers. There's a Paw Circle for Rumelita in Facebook, both in my mom's and in my brother Tonio Kromand's profiles.

I'm 4 years old!

Today is the day Mom selected as my birthday... she thinks I was about 10 weeks old when I showed at her shop one night in August, after running around all scared and hungry. There was a delicious smell coming from the shop and I knew a gentle soul would see how nice a kitten I was, and it turned to be all right!

I thought I could have some special treat for my birthday but what did I get??? Diet kibble! Just because Lucky is on a diet does not mean I have to be on a diet too!

Well, I actually got a small portion of our normal food while I sat with the others, plus the diet kibble that I actually liked. I got lots of pettings and a brand new, shiny "Da Bird", and a new hammock bed! I love it!

I also got concatulations paw mails and rosettes from my friends here here in Catster! I'm so happy, thank you everybody for the good wishes!

Hazel Lucy is my angel

This is a sad day, our beloved Hazel Lucy made her journey to the Bridge today. No words we can say express the sadness we feel for Julie, Hazel's mom.

Hazel was our first friend in Catster! She welcomed me and my family and through her we met many cat friends. She was our reason to stay in Catster, to play the "Where's Hazel" game, we got our Tranquility Blankets and every single time my mom sees them she thinks of lovely Hazel.

Our thoughts,purrs and prayers are with Julie now and always

It's my birthday!!!!

Yay! Finally it is my birthday and I get presents and treats!!!

Actually, just by coincidence the refills for Da Bird arrived... Ten refills, so that means many hours of play, yay!

My mom told me she will get me some special kitty treats and a bit of cheese. Only a bit, because she is also picking up my special diet biscuits at the vet. Øv, øv, øv. Icky diet kibble... well, no, I'm exaggerating. It is diet kibble but it is not icky. Mom really suffered with Lucky and me, trying to find some diet biscuits we would eat. She tried some that not even one of the outside cats could eat (he is the ultimate tester, always hungry). So when we said we actually liked the Royal Canin Obesity Management kibble she ordered it and will get it today. Along with a bit of cheese for me, of course.

Now I will supervise the party decorations and wait for my guests to arrive to share a tuna cake (yum!)

Diary of the Day!

My Mom had to wake me up this morning to tell me that my diary has been selected as Diary of the Day... OMC!

We feel humbled by the honor, and just a couple of days ago I was giving Mom a hard time for not updating my diary and spending too much time in that Facebook thing instead of Catster and me, of course.

We are very grateful and promise to post more frequently, as there are always many things to tell in our 9-cat household and our adventures... now I have to head out to the enclosed porch and check on one of the rain barrels. Dad installed one there and it tends to overflow, much to his chagrin and our fun!

Spring is coming...

Spring is finally coming after a very rough winter here in Denmark. None of us wanted to stay in the enclosed porch, we only wanted to bask in front of the fire oven in Mom's camp bed... Mom and Dad moved provisionally their bed to the living room, because it is the warmest room in the house. Great for us: nice and big soft bed!

But now that Spring is coming, we want to go out to the cat-play area and it also means that Furminating season is starting... My Mom noticed I was shedding a bit, so she tried the FURminator on me. Ooops, my winter coat is ready to be shed and she came out with a huge ball of dead hair. As usual, I wanted to lick it but was not allowed to!

The other day we ran out of our special Royal Canin Sensible 33 dry food... so Mom had to run to the grocery store and try to find something. She came back with this Purina "Felix" dry food (how dare them to call it same as me?) and we all were mighty hungry. Snow White had her usual "scarf and barf" routine, she stuffed herself and promptly puked it. That made me very suspicious so we started a strike. We picketed in the living room so Mom had to get us some tuna and the next day ran to the specialty pet store to buy the real thing. Dad complained loudly about how spoiled we all are, but complained even more about Snow White puking in the carpet... Waste of money that "Felix" food thing. Actually, they call it "Felix" in most countries in Europe, but here in Scandinavia it has another name and Mom doesn't want to write it because it looks like a four-letter word... OK, here in Denmark it is called "Pussi" hehe

Anyway, I hope I get FURminated again tonight... It is nice to be the center of attention!

Today is Rumelita's birthday!

Today is the day Mom selected as Rumelita's birthday... Mom and Dad decided that she looked younger than Pjevs so Mom selected a nice date for her... Rumelita is a very nice and cozy kitty, though she keeps to herself and almost never plays with any of us. She has the cutest meow (I think all of us are in love with her) and the softest white patches... almost as soft as my own fur!

I told Mom Rumelita deserved a special present, so we sent her a forever crown because she is the real queen of the house!

On another note, Mom is happy I did not catch a cold... I was chasing a butterfly that got inside our enclosed porch and when I jumped I lost my footing and landed on top of the rain water barrel. Dad had been checking on the water pump and did not close the lid properly so I went in, all the way to the bottom!

However, it took me longer to fall in than to jump out and try to run inside the house. Mom heard the commotion and when she saw me she ran with an armful of towels and started trying to squeeze the water off me! She could squeeze water from my tail and it just kept on coming (darned double coat!)

Several towels later I was allowed in and selected a quiet corner of the living room to have an extra towel and groom myself. The others helped me, Maugli gave me a good head grooming and Lucky and Rumelita helped too. Mom was worried because the day was a bit on the chilly side, but I finally got dry and fluffy again!

Today is Negrito's birthday!

Today my little brother Negrito is 1 year old! I remember when he came as a tiny kitty, all flea-ridden, hungry and with an attitude... we became best friends and now we chase each other, play together, and enjoy each others company very much.

Mom got him a new Da Bird (the original, not the bizarre version she got here locally) and it comes with some extra fun accessories. I decided to join in the fun and all of us were running and jumping after that bird thingy!

We should be getting the new Tranquility Blanket very soon and I cannot wait to see my surprise gift... yay!
