My Valentine: MOMMY! I'm home! Thank you Catster

Well....I made it home for Valentine's Day. And my Mommy found me right here on Catster. Isn't she beautiful? Go read my Christmas diary entry and see if she doesn't fit my dream of home. I didn't make it home for Christmas but I sure did for Valentine's! Chortle!

Here's what my mommy wrote to my friends at Best Friends Animal Society:

"Tom Thumb is loving life. He is getting along with all, very well.

He has made himself right at home--we allow pets on our beds and other furniture--and he has found many places to call his own. He has been great about not scratching my furniture, maybe it's because most of it is leather.

I did buy him a cardboard scratching chaise--he and my other cat Zoey, use it a lot--even though Zoey was declawed when I adopted her last May. They both "jockey" for position on the climbing tree/shelves/scratching post. It is 6 foot tall with plenty of spaces for both of them, although Tom is almost the size of my 18 pound American Eskimo, of course preferring the largest spaces for some elbow room.

So, I am glad to report everyone is thrilled with the adoption.

I am going to attach a photo shopped photo of Tom with Zoe and my two dogs, Apiyok ( A-PIE-YOKE-translated to covered in snow) and Ussuck (OO-sick----translated to little one). I did this photo for my business card before Tom joined our family-so I superimposed Tom into the mix.

Take Care.

Sincerely,
DeeJaye "

Vicktory Dogs, Good Newz Dogs...they're still dogs!

Ok, so the big buzz at Best Friends is all about how these big-headed dogs, that some guy who doesn't sound too smart had, and now the dogs are at the sanctuary, the dogs are going to have their very own "media day" on Monday.

Apparently this guy who abused pigs and ran aroung with this thing made out of their skin was really, really cruel to the dogs too. He allegedly (yeah I know big words) made them learn how to hurt each other, hurt each other really badly, even kill each other.

Wonder how this guy would have felt if he had to be in a ring and told he couldn't get out until he killed someone or was dead himself?

So you can read Speaking for the voiceless victims if you like.

So, while I'm standing by my much earlier description of dogs as stupid, loud, smelly and vulgar (and they are), I'm really glad these dogs are here and with people who like dogs, like them a whole lot.

I don't know about this group of big-headed dogs but I've seen some of the others who live here and they seem like a big bunch of goofs to me. Hard to imagine them hurting anyone. Guess you get viscious if you are around viscious people.

NOW the really "good newz" is that I have some people applying to adopt me! Thank you, Catster!

So maybe we can have the Good Mews Cat media day at Best Friends. How about it, powers that be?

People want me!

Well, I've been whining because my family hasn't shown up, and all of sudden, there are several people at once who want to see if we are right for each other.

Boy if it rains, it pours.

So this is very exciting. I'm trying to not get too happy because I know the folks at Best Friends will want to make sure that I go to the people who are best for me and that I'm best for them.

Hard to imagine, but I'm not the right cat for everybody. Like if you have a little dog that barks a lot, let's just admire each other from afar, ok?

Now...I wonder if I'll be home in time for Valentine's Day? Will I get a heart-shaped box full of treats?
