Arrival Story:
My girlfriend and I went out one Saturday morning to adopt a dog. However our apartment complex has a 20 pound weight limit for pets. We looked at AZ Pug Rescue in Phoenix but they wanted 300 to 400 dollars to adopt a rescue pug. Then we looked at dachshund rescue but they wanted the same amount of money to adopt. I felt bad because I really wanted to rescue an older animal. We went to PetSmart to see what they had... there were 3 pitbulls and there was no way in hell was I gonna bring one of them home even if I could. Now I had 3 cats as a child and I loved them dearly. They all lived to be 15 before they got sick and had to be put down. So I looked at this beautiful golden tabby they had. She was an indoor cat, 5 years old and her original guardian passed away and the family gave her to the pound. I tried to hold her and see how she was. But she was too scared and hissing and didn't want to even be held. HOWEVER next to her was a sweet 10 month old kitten who came to the front of her cage to get my attention. Her name was Boots and she had a home with an older cat and a dog, she got along great with the dog and kids but the older cat didn't like her so they had to give her up. Well I held this precious little tuxedo marked baby girl and she purred and nestled into my arms... I fell in love with her right away. BUT in the cage next to little Boots was this all black beautiful male cat who came over to his cage meowing and wanting too be held too. So... like the numbskulled softie I am I asked to hold this friendly beast. As soon as I picked this big boy up he purred right away and even gave me a few cat headbutt kisses. My girlfriend and I went home to figure this out, and before I could say anything she said that she knew I wanted both of them and she was cool with us adopting them. So on July 23 Moses and Boots came into our lives and my world has gotten much brighter because of these 2 loving creatures. I thank God and My girlfriend everday for letting me adopt these precious critters.

We Miss You, Dad.

Dad Guy went to sleep and didn't wake up on July 29, 2012. Mom is having a hard time trying to write this for me, but she said she'll try and help update our blogs for us.

We miss him very much.

Dad Guy's brother wrote an obituary for him and posted it online, they got Mom's name spelled a little wrong and it was too late to get it corrected. It's at this website:

Mom said that she'll be trying to get his ashes put at the Arlington National Cemetery. We know he will love it there, he will be so proud! She's still trying to get everything worked through and is hoping she can find out when it will all happen.

There have been so many people at the house during the first week. There was also a service for Dad on the 11th, and Mom had people over. I was sleeping in the Arizona Room and when I opened my eyes, people were trying to grab me because Mom was looking for me to hide me in a separate room! It was scary, I ran and hid behind the sofa, but more people came at me from all sides! I managed to escape and run by some more people and into the hallway where I finally reached Dad and Mom's bedroom where I hid in the closet. Mom tried to calm me down by giving me some wet cat food treats. I came out after a while and ate it all up but made sure I didn't leave the room.

I hope I get to see Dad again when it's time for me to head to the Rainbow Bridge. We love him very much.

Hi Everyone-
Our world got really changed in the past few weeks. First, in November. Mom got us a bigger apartment at our old apartment complex....then out of no where our humans had a chance to buy a really nice house. Dad guy said the time was right because of the housing market collapse. I don't know what that means. But Dad said essentially that our house lost 100,000 dollars of value when the economy went bad, and VA home loan rates for interest are really low. So we got a nice house.
Besides the house, Mom and Dad thought about US too. Now that we have LOTS of room, they got use a cat tree. I love it. I cand climb all the way to the top of it and Boots and Friendcat can't because they are chubby hehehehe. But I watch my diet and I am VERY active. I have 2 siblings to constantly pounce and that keeps me in GREAT shape. Meanwhile Boots and Friendcat are exploring the cupboards. The silly guys.
I hope all our friends are well...I see Boots.....time to pounce hehehehe.
Bye for now

Long time...

I wanna wish the whole Catster world, and their humans a blessed Christmas season. I apologize for our long absence. But Dad guy....the former Iraq War combat vet. Actually has a very hard time when he sees our friends, and even just strangers on here. Have to cross to the Rainbow Bridge. But the good thing is he lost his ability to cry after Iraq. So we know he still has human characteristics. We all must go there. But if he had his way. There would be no more animal abuse, and all cats (and dogs) would have loving homes. He hates animal abuse and neglect.
We are gonna try to come back to Catster..personally me and the sibs have missed it.
Merry Christmas Everyone.
