Friday's the big day..!!

That's right...I'll be 15 yrs young on Friday.!!. Actually we've
been celebrating all month..!! I made it through another year.
Mommy said I'm in good shape! Dr. Jo (my vet) say's I have the
body of an 8 year old!

I've already gotten 3 presents. A new bed of course, some little grey
mousies (they look more real) and a new food and water bowl!!
Everyday's kinda like my b-day around here. I told mommy to keep
them chicken breast's coming! (she works at a deli and brings some
home).

I keep telling mommy that she's was lucky when I adopted her 14
yrs ago..!! hee hee !!

"My trip to the vet"

Well yesterday started out like any other day. Having just polished
off one-half of can of Trout fancy feast, I settled in my velour bed for
a little "cat-nap". Mommy had to go run errands so she told me I'm
in charge of taking care of my grandma.

I was snoozing for a good couple of hours when I heard my mommy's
voice so I ran to the garage door like I always do.
That's when I say mommy carrying that big blue thingie she puts
me in when we go to the vet. That put me in a bad mood real quick.
Riding in that car (and all the noise) is what I don't like, but once
I'm at the vet's I'm a little better.

Anyway Dr. Jo tested my blood (mommy's been checking it as well)
and instead of two insulin shots a day I only need one now.

Yea, I'm a diabetic. I was diagnosed a few years ago. Mommy thinks
from me being obese probably contributed to it. I'm almost 15 yrs
young (in april) so i'm no spring chicken! But Dr.Jo said I've got
the body of an five year old stud...!!

Hide n Seek..!!

I have a new game (well new to me ,that is) that I've been playing
with mommy. Mommy didn't like it first couple of times (she thought
I was lost).

Last week mommy had to go run errands (mommy hasn't been
working on account of my grandma's been sick), so she was looking
for me to give me kisses goodbye. I was in the bathroom under the
sink and are you ready for this...under the towels as well..!!
I could tell by mommy's voice she was getting freaked out so I
pushed up the cabinet door, jumped out and then the door slammed
and she came running in!! She was scared at first but when she looked
under the sink and saw how I camouflaged the towels she laughed!!

Now when I play, mommy's first initial reaction is omg where is he,
but then she knows I just playing my favorite game "Hide n Seek".

Looks like I'm "batting a thousand" !!

That's right, I've been having a great day! Mommy took
me outback for some "backyard fun!" We were outside for
longer than usual (82 degrees) and that was just fine with
me! Then mommy said she had to go pick up something
that is going to make me very happy!!
Well she was right! Mommy bought (from the vet) my own
Blood Glucose monitoring system!! So no more (every 2
weeks) trip to the vet!!
Yea, I'm a diabetic and mommy has to give me 2 shots
of insulin a day! Now mommy can check my blood her-
self ! It's not something I really like , but it sure beats
the heck out of that car ride to the vet!! That's real stress-
full for me!!
Mommy said because I've been such a good boy, she
will bring me home a goodie tonight! (I can hardly wait!)

"Back in the swing of things!"

Hi everyone! Well it looks like mommy and I are
back in the "back in the swing of things"! Mommy's
been real busy,to be honest with you mommy
has been spending alot of time on this other website
that makes pictures! She has my page looking just
grand with all my bling! I told her that I miss her reading
catster's diaries!

"Grouchy relatives!"

Well, we had a little trouble this morning. Mommy's
brother (my uncle) was sleeping......until I woke him
up ! And I gotta tell ya, he sure is grumpy! But accord-
ing to him I'm the "grumpy, spoiled" one!!


This morning was no different from any other morning,(other
than I couldn't open the bathroom door, when mommy was
in the shower) Mommy opened me can of fish n shrimp and
she went in the rain closet (bathroom!) I took a few bites and
decided it didn't hit the spot so like I said I tried to open the
bathroom door, but to no avail! I was getting pretty frustrated,
so I figured if I meowed real loud mommy would hear me. Well
my uncle (the grump) was sleeping and he heard me loud and
clear!!

He started hollering "Baby, be quiet" Well I didn't listen!! "Meow,
Meow and a couple of swat's of scratching on the door!"
Mr.Grump was not a happy camper! I heard him shuffle around
in his room, yelling hollering (not nice words). Just when he
was ready to open his door, here comes Mommy and she told
him "Don't you yell at Baby" She told him , if he disobeys you
or is a bad boy you talk to him in a normal tone! He will listen
and learns from it, but if you yell at him, his behavior will get
worse!

That is mostly true, I just hope I can open that bathroom
door tommorow.....he he !!

I almost had a heart attack!!!

That's right, yesterday started out as a normal day.
Woke mommy up at 6:00 cause I was feeling kinda
hungry. Mommy got up to make her coffee and like
always I followed her!! Then Mommy went through
the garage to get the paper, that's when it happened!!

Here's comes mommy from garage, in one hand the paper,
and in her other hand that big god awfully looking cage
that I get put in when I go to the vet!! I almost had a
heart attack!! I took off so fast even mommy said later,
"I hadn't seen Baby run that fast in years".

I ran in our room, and the first place I thought of hiding
was under the bed. But mommy is such a pack rat ,and of
course I'm not a real little guy (21 lbs) there wasn't much
room. So mommy came in and said "Baby don't worry honey
your Aunt Debbie gave mommy a real nice carrier for you,
so mommy was going to clean out your old one and donate
it to the shelter!! Woo, what a relief ! Mommy saved the day!!

Two mousies are "MIA" !

Yep, that's right we have two mousies that are MIA!! When mommy
came home from work last night, she noticed (one of my new mousies
I got for my b-day) wasn't in my bed. She went on a hunt for it, but
only came up with six (I have eight). This isn't the first time something
like this has happened! We had a little trouble (incident pertaining to
mousie) in the past, which I'd love to share with you............

When we (mommy and I) first moved in with Pops and Annie (grandparents)
my ONLY mousie was MIA! Well what happen was Annie saw mousie under
the table and thought it was real! So she called Pops and he got a broom and
dust pan and swept it up!! He either thought it was real as well, or didn't have
his glasses on so he threw it over the fence (backyard) in the woods!!
When mommy happened to mention that my mousie was MIA, they told
her what happened. Everybody was laughing, but I was still down a mousie,
my ONLY mousie! Pops ended up buying me more mousies!!

"Today was a great day!"

Wow...what a great day it was indeed!! Mommy said we were definitely
batting a thousand today!! Mommy and I (especially mommy!) are so
jazzed about me being cat diary of the day winner! She told me she was
real proud of me!! I overheard Pops (grandpa) telling mommy that may-
be i can find me a sweetie on catster!! She laughed and told pops, "
he is mommy's handsome boy!"

Big Fun on my b-day!

My b-day turned out to be big fun after all! Before mommy went to work
she gave me two presents!! I got a new litterbox!! To be honest with you,
I kinda like my old one better. Mommy says I'll get used to it! And I got
six more grey mousies! (my fav color, they look more real) Pops really
surprised me and took me out back for some "backyard fun". We didn't
stay out long though, it started to rain some.

I was waiting by the door for mommy (like I always do) when she got
home. She said she had a goodie for me! I had already know what it was
(the ole sensors kicked in) a chicken breast!! Woo Hoo!! I haven't had
that for ages!! (on the count of having diabetes) My mouth was just
watering!

Mommy went out in garage to get my present!! I got a new crush velvet
bed!! I have three now! I really like this one cause my back paws don't
dangle out! I'm kinda a big guy, 21 lbs! Mommy's next day off is tuesday
and she said we will do something special!!
