Arrival Story:
McCartney lived as a feral cat for over 3 years in the mountains of WNC. He was the arch enemy of the male cat across the street until the family moved. Only then did the scrappy and unapproachable white kitty show up around our house. He would not let anyone get near him and would only eat after I would go back inside after leaving plates of food on my front porch. This went on for well over a year and one cold day in November, he showed up with a 3 inch bleeding gash in his forehead. He was so hurt and close to dying that he let me pick him up and put him in a cat carrier. I quickly transported him to my vet for care. Ofcourse he had every ailment known to a stray cat; worms, ear mites, abrasions, malnutrition and he was not fixed. So, after a week of TLC and many well spent dollars, we brought home the biggest lover of all our wonderful cats.
Bio:
McCartney lived in the wild with raccoons, bears, foxes, possum, etc. He is the toughest yet the most gentle cat I have known. He is a big bully with a baby meow when he can't find his momma. It's proof what nurture can do for our 4 legged friends. After 2 years of living in a warm, cozy house with 4 sisters, McCartney really has the best of both worlds. We love him so much and his sisters, well....they tolerate him!@
