Arrival Story:
Queenie's mother, Momcat, was a feral cat who I was feeding for two years. She has had ten kittens, one of which is Stella, who I adopted. She showed up with Fluff and Queenie on Oct. 4, and she left on Nov. 1. We assume she is dead, and just had to bring the two kittens inside because it is so cold. We were going to find them homes but Stella loves them so much! UPDATE: By the time Wueenie and Fluff were adults, Stella decided that she hated them, and has devoted all her energies to lording it over them, beating them up and running screaming terror runs all over the house. Since Delyte was still the top cat, Queenie formed an alliance with him and would lay with him and on him and wash him. [ See pictures on Delyte's page.] Queenie is basically a feral cat living indoors. We can no longer catch her to take her to the vet or deflea her, although she will be affectionate when she feels like it. And, having learned from her mentor, she will stand up and beg for favorite foods, although she doesn't really care much for people food the way Delyte did. Now that Delyte has died, she shows no obvious signs of missing him, but she may think she is top cat--even though Stella is still chasing her off the chair and trying to beat her up. She is the essence of female catness, and possibly a cat genius.
