Arrival Story:
I adopted Pepper from an organization called Help for Pets when he was about 8 weeks old.

Bio:
Pepper is very special to me. He's the first cat I ever owned on my own. I was 19 when I adopted him, & pregnant with my daughter. He has been with me for 15 years & he's seen me through everything, good & bad. He knows when something is wrong & he's always ready to cuddle & purr no matter what. He's still very playful & funny. He loves company & wants attention from anyone who comes over. His right ear is bent because of surgery for a blood clot he had in his ear when he was 2 years old. Also, several years ago, a runaway dog was in my yard, it ran up to Pepper, & Pepper climbed a tree. He was so fat he started sliding down & most of his back claws were ripped out (my poor baby!) He had to get declawed on his hind paws & you can see the picture on the left when he had to wear the cone around his neck. He's so funny. Pepper is my heart & joy & I will love him forever. **UPDATE** Pepper went over the rainbow bridge on August 23, 2005. When I got home from work I saw he was in respiratory distress. I brought him to the vet & she gave him a sedative before giving him the injection. He peacefully fell asleep while I held him. He was 15 years old. I will miss Pepper more than anything. He was the best cat ever & I hold him in my heart always. ....sleep soft, dear friend.....
