Arrival Story:
Ogood Stanley Cup. Osgood was in the same pet store where we got Babycat. He was in a window full of yellow and white kittens. Osgood was chosen because he 'had a tail'. I had told my mom that I couldn't have a cat without a tail. Being Red Wing fans, Osgood seemed fitting and being the year they won the Stanley Cup. The name was born. He was declawed, and while recovering from the surgery jumped out of his cage bandages and all to watch the Red Wings game. Osgood was my mom's cat. He would sit on her chest for hours while she was on the computer. He was her shadow. He just was a cat who thought he was six foot five 285. He would take on our Retriever all the time. To the point where he would stand on the steps and not allow the dogs to pass. It was so funny. He was the one who would wake us up whenever something was wrong with the house. Because after all this was his house. Osgood favorite thing to do was the "car wash" with the Red Wings pom pom. During the lock out we had to play all the MP3's I had of hockey snip its to keep him 'entertained' He loved Christmas. He would stair at the Christmas lights for hours. He also loved the song Santa Baby. Osgood slept with my mom every night. He was her protector. You could not wake my mom up if Oz was on her because he would 'kung fu' fight you. One of my favorite memories of Osgood is when he wore the pink hair you see on this page. He loved that hair. Would wear it for hours. Babycat and Nicklas could never figure out what Osgood was doing walking around in that hair. Osgood was named after Chris Osgood the goalie for the Detroit Red Wings. The sad thing is- the year we lost Osgood--I had gotten my mom for Christmas, a picture of Osgood the goalie, holding a picture of Osgood the cat and signing the picture of Osgood the cat. Our poor Vet would never be able to look in Osgood's ears. Osgood let the Vet know he wasn't worthy by kung fu-ing him. One funny thing Osgood used to do in true goalie form was catch moths. He would lick is paw stick it up in the air and catch the moth. Then would just step on it and walk away LOL'n.

He was one of the three musketeers. Babycat, Osgood, Nicklas. They were three cat buddies. He was lost the same week as Babycat due to food posioning (recall) the week of Valentine's Day.
