Arrival Story:
My mom went to kittenrescue.org 's shelter to find a friend. She sat in the "social room" with about 100 cats/kitties. So I went right over, stood up and put my paws on her leg and said, I will be a good boy if you take me home, you look like a nice lady. Well, Mom took me home. I'm not that good a boy but Mom is still a nice lady who loves me no matter what. I have an update: I'm not such a pukey boy anymore. Mom changed my diet and I'm now very happy about it. I think I've gained a pound too! Mom thinks I was puking because I didn't like the canned food and was gorging on the dry food. Poor Mommy feels bad now because she thinks I wasn't getting enough to eat. Now I have some great food (that I like and will eat) and I'm turning into a big bad orange stripey kitty.

Bio:
My buddy/brother is Bumpy who is also on this site. One of my favorite things is to have my mom "shake my butt." I love to have my butt and back legs rubbed and mom is real good at it. Of course, she has to say "shake your butt?" when she's doing it. Bumpy looks at us like we're nuts.

Good news about lost kitty!

A short note with some good news from best friends Julie and Bert in Las Vegas. One of their cats, Tobie, went missing this past January. He was an indoor/outdoor cat and one day just disappeared. Needless to say, they were heartbroken and spent many hours/days posting fliers, contacting neighbors and shelters etc. Nothing. But no one gave up hope.
Last night, Tobie came home to Julie and Bert!!!!! Isn't that amazing!!! He just appeared in the back yard and let Julie pick him up and bring him into the house. He settled right in like he had never been gone!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We wish he could tell us the story of what has happened in the past 9 months, but I guess we're left to speculate.
In these days of doom and gloom, I thought everyone might like this heartwarming story.

" The 10 Commandments for Pets "

As read by Warren on The Pet Show

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you will be painful for me. Remember that before you get me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want from me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial to my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, entertainment and friends. I have only you.

5. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

7. Please don't hit me. I can't hit back, but I can bite and scratch and I really don't want to do that.

8. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right foods or I've been out in the sun too long or my heart is getting old and weak.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch," or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, I love you.
