Arrival Story:
I had Buddy since he came into the world. He was the love of my life. Buddy was a wonderful cat and companion. He was very accident prone kind of like me. The worst accident happened when he was about a month and a half old but he survived. He got his name from when he would waddle into the kitchen as a baby and I would look down at him and ask "Whatcha doing bud?" The name kind of stuck. I lost my Buddy when he was 5 years old. He had cancer. We had moved into an apartment the year before. I tried to make his last few days of life has comfortable as possible. He wanted to go out on our balcony and sit so I would go out with him and sit in my adirondak chair. He eventually would want me to pick him up and we would sit there and watch the birds eat from the feeder. I held him as close as I could. He would try to purr but the last couple of days that even became hard for him to do. Buddy died in my arms on September 9, 2004. I held his body for at least a half an hour after he had died. I guess that I didn't want to let him go. My brother-in-law buried him in his yard at the edge of the woods. I buried his favorite catnip mouse with him. I didn't want him to be alone. He would dance on his back feet around that mouse when he would play with him. I still miss Buddy very much and I always will.
