I'm not changing the name of my diary. I may not be here in body anymore but I still stick by my statement that senior cats can still kick butt. The Rainbow Bridge is such a peaceful place and I was greeted by so many special cats and dogs! My family down on earth had a good day today and it made me purr. The kitty I led them to has finally got the love and safety she deserves and I know that my family will be just as good to her as they were to me.

When we were young, we were playmates. When we grew older, we were inseperable friends. Now, in maturity he has the eyes of a wisened sage. They tell me, "I have taught you so many lessons over the years. Lessons of love, of friendship, of compassion. I have taught you things that cannot be expressed in words and can only be felt with the heart. My work here is coming to an end, and it is my time to leave you. Please do not cry, for I came to you for a reason and our time together was precious. Do not forget what I have taught you, and I will never really be gone."
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE author unknown
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sesshy beat me to the diary entries! Oh well I guess I'm not quite as fast as I used to be. I can still kick the little runt's butt in a boxing match any day though! So mommy finally updated my page, huh? I guess that's nice of her, as long as she doesn't get that silly flashing thing she calls a camera out to take MORE photos of me when I'm trying to sleep.

1) My big sister has had me since she was 5. I have been there for the first day of school, first crushes, graduation, first dates and many other big events in her life! I plan on being around for her wedding day too.
2) I box. I've done this ever since I was a little kitten. I stand up on my hind legs and swat at Mom until she starts boxing back. If she is too quick for me, I get upset and sulk off.
3) I still have all my teeth. I will use them if needed.
4) I didn't meow loudly until I was 7 years old. I was generally a quiet cat and as my sis got older and more people came to visit, I started to become more vocal to get attention!
5) I have been through 5 moves with my family. I like this apartment the best next to our original flat.
6) I sound like a crying baby when I meow. One neighbour thought that my family had left an infant unattended at home while they were out. This happened several days in a row! This person was very upset at my people (understandable!) until they discovered it was me making a rucus!
7) My big sis' fiance is the only boyfriend she has ever had that I get along with (and it took some time).
